LOGAN, Utah – Utah State had two gymnasts earn weekly Mountain West honors following performances last weekend as USU finished second at the Air Force Tri Meet with a team score of 195.400 and won its own quad meet with a score of 195.875.
Junior Isabella Vater and freshman Mara Gruber was named MW Floor Co-Specialists of the Week, while Gruber was also named MW Freshman of the Week.

Mountain West Floor Co-Specialist of the Week
Isabella Vater (Jr., Las Vegas, Nevada)
- Named the MW Floor Co-Specialist of the Week for the third time this year and fourth time in her career.
- Earned her fourth-career conference honor as she scored a career-high 9.900 on floor to tie for first at the Air Force Tri Meet, helping USU score 49.175 on the event.
- Has now won three titles this year with two on floor and one on bars. For her career, she has three floor titles, and one bars title.
- It is the fifth time this year and seventh time in her career she has scored 9.875 or higher on floor.
- Ranks second in the MW, ninth in the North Central Region and 80th in the nation with a floor average of 9.854.

Mountain West Floor Co-Specialist of the Week and MW Freshman of the Week
Mara Gruber (Fr., Arden Hills, Minnesota)
- Named the MW Floor Co-Specialist of the Week for the first time in her career.
- Earned her first-career honor as she won the floor title at the USU Quad Meet with a career-high 9.900, helping USU score 49.175 on the event. It was her first-career title.
- Earned her first MW Freshman of the Week honor with her 9.990 on floor at the USU Quad Meet.
- Ranks 47th in the North Central Region with an average floor score of 9.735.
- Is the fifth Aggie in program history to garner MW Freshman of the Week accolades, including the third this year.
