LOGAN, Utah - Utah State women's tennis delivered a dominant performance at home Saturday afternoon, sweeping College of Idaho 7-0 at the Sports Academy & Racquet Club.
 
Doubles 
Utah State opened the match in dominant fashion, sweeping all three doubles contests to secure the opening point. Sophomore Maria Ramos Garcia and freshman Chahd Tourkhani were first off the court with a commanding 6-0 victory. Senior Olivia Halvorsen and sophomore Kylee Sperry followed with a 6-1 win to put the Aggies in firm control. Sophomore Natalie Paterova and freshman Sabina Pintea then capped doubles play with a 6-1 victory at the second spot, sending USU into singles with a 1-0 lead.

Singles 
The Aggies carried that momentum into singles play, winning all six matches to complete the 7-0 sweep. Ramos Garcia set the tone, finishing first with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 victory at the second position. Tourkhani quickly followed with another 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles. Sperry added another point with a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at the fourth position to clinch the match for USU. Paterova then furthered the Aggie lead with a 6-1, 6-3 win at the top spot. Junior Magdalena Nunez Pureco added to the lead with a 6-0, 6-1 win at the sixth position and Halvorsen closed out the sweep with a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 5 singles.
