LOGAN, Utah – Utah State gymnastics (13-4, 4-2 MW) continues its 2026 season on Monday, March 2, at in-state rival Southern Utah (6-8, 0-0 MPSF) in a dual meet at 6:30 p.m. USU is ranked 30th in the nation in the latest Road to Nationals Poll and SUU is ranked 28th.
Utah State's rotation will be bars, vault, floor, and beam. Southern Utah will start on vault, followed by bars, beam, and floor. The meet will be streamed live on Overnght.com and live scoring will be available via Virti.us.

UTAH STATE CLAIMS MOUNTAIN WEST CHAMPIONSHIP
With its win against Air Force this past weekend, Utah State improved to 4-2 in Mountain West action and claimed at least a share of the MW Regular Season Championship. It is USU's eighth conference title in program history, and second in as many years, as the Aggies won the MW Postseason Championship last year.
UTAH STATE NOTES
Utah State's 13-4 start to the 2026 campaign is its best since the 1999 squad started with a 14-3 record. Overall, USU's 13-4 record is tied for the fourth-best start to a season in program history.
Utah State ranks first in the Mountain West and 30th in the nation heading into the seventh week of competition with a National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 195.700. USU ranks first in the MW and 24th in the nation on bars with a NQS of 48.986, first in the MW and 30th in the nation on floor with an NQS of 49.089, second in the MW and 30th in the nation on beam with an NQS of 48.854, and second in the MW and 39th in the nation on vault with an NQS (48.800).
Individually, junior Nyla Morabito ranks first in the MW and 53rd in the nation on vault with an NQS of 9.835. Junior Isabella Vater ranks second in the MW and 53rd in the nation on floor with an NQS of 9.870. Sophomore Olivia Orengo ranks second in the MW and 55th in the nation on bars with an NQS of 9.850. Junior Sydney Jelen ranks second in the MW and 70th in the nation on beam with an NQS of 9.835.

Junior Nyla Morabito has won nine vault titles in her career, which is the seventh-most in program history. Morabito has already won six vault titles this year, which is tied with two other gymnasts for the fifth-most in a single season in program history.
MORABITO CLAIMS FLOOR TITLE AGAINST AIR FORCE
Junior Nyla Morabito won her first floor title of the season and the seventh of her career after posting a season-high 9.850 this past weekend against Air Force. She now has eight event titles this year (6 VT, 1 BB, 1 FX) and 17 in her career (9 VT, 7 FX, 1 BB).
SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
Southern Utah ranks 28th in the nation with a National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 195.708. SUU ranks 25th in the nation on floor with an NQS of 49.125, 27th in the nation on bars with an NQS of 48.938, 27th in the nation on beam with an NQS of 48.921, and 32nd in the nation on vault with an NQS of 48.879.
Individually, junior Niya Randolph ranks 26th in the nation in the all-around with an NQS of 39.250, 63rd in the nation on bars with an NQS of 9.845, and 74th in the nation on beam with an NQS of 9.830. Senior Kayla Pardue ranks 53rd in the nation on vault with an NQS of 9.835. Freshman Berlin Hall ranks 61st in the nation on floor with an NQS of 9.865.
SERIES HISTORY
Utah State is 60-63 all-time against Southern Utah, including an 18-25 road record. The two teams have already faced one another three times this year with USU coming out on top each time. First, USU posted a 195.825-195.675 neutral site win against SUU at the Best of Utah Meet on Jan. 12. USU then defeated No. 23 SUU at home in a dual meet 195.700-195.550 on Jan. 17. And USU posted a 195.875-195.525 win against SUU in its own Quad Meet on Feb. 9.
LAST TIME OUT
Utah State posted its second-straight 196-plus score in as many weeks as it defeated Mountain West-foe Air Force 196.025-195.825 inside the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026.
Junior Nyla Morabito tied for first on floor with a season-high 9.850 for the Aggies only title of the night. It is her eighth title this year, including her first on floor, and her 17th title overall, including her seventh on floor.
Utah State posted six career-high scores during the meet to go along with one season-high score.
Utah State began the meet on the vault and scored a season-high 49.075, followed by a 48.825 on bars, 49.075 on beam and 49.050 on floor. Air Force scored 48.950 on vault, 48.825 on bars, 49.100 on beam and 48.950 on floor.
Utah State opened the meet with a bang scoring a season-high 49.075 on vault as five Aggies posted career high scores. Morabito led USU with a career-high-tying 9.850 to tie for second on the event. Junior Mya Witte led off with a career-high-tying 9.775 and sophomore Lundyn VanderToolen followed with a career-high-tying 9.825. Freshman Anabelle Dewey tied her career-high with 9.800 and freshman Alianna Valdez scored 9.675, while junior Isabella Vater posted a career-high 9.825.
Utah State moved to bars for its second rotation and posted 48.825. Sophomore Olivia Orengo led the Aggies here with a 9.800 to place second on the event. Junior Sydney Jelen scored 9.750 to lead off, while Vater followed with 9.700. Following Orengo's 9.800, senior Avery Bibbey scored 9.725, VanderToolen scored 9.775 and freshman Charly Laufer posted 9.775.
Moving to beam for its third rotation, Utah State scored 49.075, tying for its second-best score on the apparatus this year. Jelen began the rotation with 9.825 and Orengo followed with 9.775. Sophomore Kaylie Medrano scored 9.800 and Valdez posted 9.825. Laufer then notched a career-high 9.800 and Witte concluded the rotation with 9.825. Jelen, Valdez and Witte all tied for third on the event.
Utah State finished the competition with 49.050 on floor. Morabito led USU with a season-high 9.850 to tie for first on the event. Orengo began the final rotation with a 9.800, and freshman Sienna Yelle scored 9.750. Following Morabito's 9.850, USU posted back-to-back-to-back 9.800 scores from Dewey, Vater and freshman Mara Gruber.
