LOGAN, Utah – Utah State track and field senior
Logan Hammer has been named the America First Credit Union USU Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending on Sunday, March 15. The award is voted on by a state-wide media panel.
With their sponsorship of the student-athlete of the week, America First Credit Union donates funds directly to support student-athlete scholarships.
Hammer earned second team All-American honors at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships last weekend as he cleared 5.40 meters (17-8.5) to tie for 14th place in the men's pole vault. The winner of three-straight Mountain West titles in the event cleared the height on his first jump of the day, before failing to clear the bar at 5.50 meters (18-0.5). Hammer, who earned first-team honors at the 2025 indoor championships and second-team honors at the outdoor championships in 2024 and 2025, became the eighth four-time All-American in Utah State track and field history.
