LOGAN, Utah – Utah State gymnast Mya Witte has been named the America First Credit Union USU Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending on Sunday, March 22. The award is voted on by a state-wide media panel.

This is Witte's first-ever America First Credit Union USU Student-Athlete of the Week honor.

With their sponsorship of the student-athlete of the week, America First Credit Union donates funds directly to support student-athlete scholarships.

Witte, a junior from Greenacres, Florida, was named the Mountain West Championship MVP as she helped Utah State score a 196.400 to win its second-straight MW Postseason Championship. Witte won the beam title with a career-high 9.950 and scored 9.700 on vault. Her score on beam is tied for the second highest in program history, and she is one of just eight USU gymnasts ever to score a 9.950 or better on the event.
