LOGAN, Utah – From the generosity of two lifelong Aggies, Kent and Donna Alder, Utah State University Vice President and Director of Athletics Cameron Walker announced a transformative $2.5 million investment in Aggie Athletics on Wednesday.

In recognition of their impact on the athletics department, the club space in the West Stadium Center at Maverik Stadium will be named the Alder Champions Club. The Alders' gift marks the second major commitment the athletics department has received in the past month, bringing $5 million in major commitments since the announcement of the Show Me initiative.

"Kent and Donna Alder are among the most passionate supporters of Utah State University, Aggie Athletics, and the Cache Valley community," Walker said. "The Alders' gift reflects their belief in what we are building as a department and a commitment to help us reach new heights as we move into the new Pac-12. It will be commitments like this and others that help us continue our pursuit of excellence."

For decades, Utah State Athletics has been a constant in their family life, from attending games to having 20 to 25 members of the Alder family cheering on the Aggies at Maverik Stadium and the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. Their passion and dedication to Utah State have been passed down to their 17 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and beyond, creating the next legacy of future Aggie supporters.

"We are extremely proud to support Utah State Athletics and its future vision, including its upcoming integration into the new Pac-12," the Alders said. "Aggie Athletics has played a meaningful role in our lives and in the lives of our family. When Utah State Athletics succeeds, it strengthens the university and benefits the entire Cache Valley community. We encourage fellow Aggies to join us in supporting the continued growth and success of the athletics department."

Through both their professional and personal efforts, the Alder family has left a lasting mark on the Cache Valley community.

Beyond athletics, the Alder family has provided significant support to the university and the Huntsman School of Business, strengthening the overall student experience and creating a lasting impact for generations.

The Alders' gift marks their second major commitment to Utah State Athletics in the past four years.
