LOGAN, Utah – Utah State gymnastics concluded one of the best weeks in program history by defeating future Pac-12 opponent and 25th-ranked Oregon State 196.650-196.150 here Friday night inside the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. That 196.650 is the third-highest home score in school history and the 10th-highest overall.

It is the fourth-straight meet that USU has scored at least a 196.000.

With the victory, Utah State improves to 15-4 on the season and finished its home schedule with a perfect 8-0 record, marking just the fourth time in the 49-year history of USU gymnastics that the program has posted an undefeated home campaign.

Utah State's 15-4 start to the season is the second-best in school history trailing only the 1978 club that began that year with a 27-1 record.

Utah State began the week with a 196.875-195.725 win at Southern Utah on Monday night, which is its third-highest score ever. USU then announced on Tuesday that head coach Kristin White has signed a contract extension through the 2030 season.

Utah State started the meet on the vault and scored 48.975, followed by a season-high 49.325 on bars, 49.025 on beam and a season-high 49.325 on floor. USU's score on bars is tied for the fifth highest in program history. Oregon State scored 48.750 on vault, 49.150 on bars, 48.975 on beam and 49.275 on floor.

Utah State claimed all four event titles, led by junior Nyla Morabito who tied for first on vault with a career-high-tying 9.875 and won floor with a career-high-tying 9.925. Junior Sydney Jelen won the bars title with a career-high 9.925, which is tied for the 11th-highest bars score in program history. Junior Mya Witte and sophomore Kaylie Medrano shared the beam title with scores of 9.850, which tied a career-high for Medrano.

With her two titles tonight, Morabito now has 20 titles in her career with 11 on vault, eight on floor, and one on beam. Her 11 vault titles are the fifth-most in program history. This year, Morabito has claimed 11 titles with eight on vault, two on floor, and one on beam. Her eight vault titles this season are the second-most in school history. Her 11 total titles this season are tied for the fifth-most by a junior in USU history.

Jelen claimed her fifth-career title and fourth this season as she has three beam and two bar titles in her career, including two beam and two bar titles this season.

Medrano won her third career title with two on beam and one on vault, including her second this season as she now has two beam titles this year.

Witte claimed her second title this year and, in her career, both coming on beam.

Utah State posted five career-high scores during the meet to go along with one season-high score.
