ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico - Utah State women's tennis defeated New Mexico for a 4-1 road victory on Friday at the McKinnon Family Tennis Stadium.

With the win, the Aggies have now won four matches in a row for the first time since 2022 and have secured their first four-match win streak in conference play in program history. 

Doubles 
The Aggies secured the doubles point with strong performances at the top two spots. Freshman Terezia Mlkva and sophomore Kylee Sperry set the tone with a quick 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles. Sophomore Natalie Paterova and freshman Sabina Pintea followed with a 6-3 victory at the top position to clinch the point, while the match at No. 3 doubles was left unfinished, giving Utah State the early 1-0 lead.

Singles 
Utah State carried that momentum into singles play, picking up key wins across the lineup. New Mexico answered first with a straight-set win at No. 2 singles to even the match, but the Aggies quickly regained control.

Sophomore Maria Paula Ramos Garcia delivered a dominant 6-2, 6-2 victory at the No. 3 spot to put USU back in front. Shortly after, junior Magdalena Nunez Pureco extended the lead with a commanding 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles.

With the match tightening, all eyes turned to the top of the lineup. After dropping the opening set, Mlkva battled back at No. 1 singles, convincingly taking the final two sets for a 2-6, 6-1, 6-2 win to clinch the match for the Aggies and secure their fourth consecutive victory.
