LOGAN, Utah - Utah State women's tennis saw their four-match winning streak snapped on Sunday at the Sports Academy & Racquet Club, falling to Air Force, 4-2. 

Doubles 
The Falcons jumped ahead with the doubles point to begin the match, winning at the top two positions of the lineup. Sophomore Maria Paula Ramos Garcia and freshman Chahd Tourkhani were locked in a 5-5 battle at the time the point was clinched.

Singles 
Air Force maintained momentum to begin singles with a win at the second position to go up, 2-0. The Aggies then battled back as Tourkhani posted a 7-5, 6-3 win at No. 4 singles to put USU on the board. After moving inside due to weather, junior Magdalena Nunez Pureco then squared the match at 2-2 with a 7-5, 3-6, 6-1 victory at the fifth position. The Falcons, however, went on to claim a three-set win at the top spot before winning in a pair of tiebreaks at the third position to claim the 4-2 win.

Next Up
Utah State is set to conclude the regular season and celebrate Senior Day on Friday, April 17, at 11 a.m. (MT) at the Sports Academy & Racquet Club against No. 52 Boise State. The Aggies will celebrate the careers of Olivia Halvorsen and Magdalena Nunez Pureco prior to the match at 10:30 a.m. (MT).
