FRESNO, California - Utah State women's tennis earned a 4-2 road victory over Fresno State on Thursday at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Complex.

Doubles 
Utah State claimed the doubles point with wins at the second and third positions. After Fresno State took the early lead with a 6-3 win at the top spot, sophomore Terezia Mlkva and sophomore Kylee Sperry responded with a 6-3 victory at No. 2 doubles to even things up. Sophomore Maria Paula Ramos Garcia and freshman Chahd Tourkhani then secured the point for the Aggies with a 6-3 win at the third position.

Singles 
The Aggies carried that momentum into singles play, earning victories at the first, fifth and sixth positions to secure the team win. At No. 5 singles, freshman Chahd Tourkhani delivered a 6-4, 6-2 victory to double USU's lead. Following a Bulldog point at the third position, redshirt junior Magdalena Nunez Pureco responded with a straight-sets win at No. 6 singles, 6-4, 6-2, to put the Aggies up, 3-1.

After Fresno State picked up a point at the fourth position, freshman Terezia Mlkva provided the clinching point at No.1 singles, outlasting her opponent in three sets, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2. Sophomore Sabina Pintea split the first two sets and was trailing in the third at the time play was halted following the match being clinched.
