LOGAN, Utah – Utah State Vice President and Director of Athletics Cameron Walker announced an anonymous $1.5 million pledge to the athletics department on Tuesday.
 
The investment follows another transformational gift to athletics, as the generosity of fellow Cache Valley supporters inspired the anonymous donor to contribute to Utah State. Despite not previously donating to Utah State Athletics at this level, the family said it was essential to step up and sustain the department's momentum entering the new Pac-12 Conference.
 
"I am grateful for the continued support of Utah State Athletics and another transformational gift benefiting USU student-athletes and the department's future," said Walker. "With continued investments like these, the department is better positioned for immediate success in the Pac-12. I'm extremely thankful for the trust and support of this generous family."
 
The gift is the fourth $750,000 or more pledge since the start of the Show Me initiative. Each donor has contributed at the Blue A Society level, investing $25,000 or more over a five-year period.
 
Show Me Initiative
Utah State Athletics recently launched the Show Me initiative, aimed at strengthening the department as it enters the Pac-12, with specific 6- and 18-month goals. Investments play a key role, including contributions to the Blue A Society, which require donations of $25,000 or more over five years.
