LOGAN, Utah – Utah State gymnastics held its end of season banquet Thursday night, honoring the 2026 team that won both the Mountain West regular season and postseason championships. USU also won the 2025 MW Championship, marking the first time in program history that it has claimed back-to-back conference titles.

Utah State culminated its season by advancing to NCAA Regionals for the 29th time in program history, including qualifying for the second round for the first time since 2022.

Utah State scored 196.000 or better seven times this year, including in six straight meets, to set the school record for most consecutive scores of 196.000 or better. The previous record was five set by the 2021 team. Overall, USU's seven team scores of 196.000 or better this year is tied with the 2021 and 2022 teams for the most in school history.

Utah State's 19 wins this season are the sixth-most in program history and most since the 1986 team notched a 24-11 record. USU's 16 regular season wins this year are tied for the fourth-most in program history and the most since 1986.

Utah State finished its home schedule with an 8-0 record, marking just the fourth time in the 49-year history of USU gymnastics that the program has posted an undefeated home campaign.

Utah State's 15-4 start to this season was the second-best in school history, trailing only the 1978 club that began that year with a 27-1 record.

During the banquet, Utah State recognized seven gymnasts with various team awards. Freshman Charley Laufer was named Newcomer of the Year. Junior Sydney Jelen was named MVP. Sophomore Olivia Orengo earned The Rock Award. Senior Amari Evans received the Aggie Spirt Award. Junior Mya Witte and senior Chelsea Southam were named Most Improved. Orengo received the Aggie Academic Excellence Award. Senior Avery Bibbey was presented with the Aggie Legacy Award.

Utah State also recognized assistant coach Robert Ladanyi with the Staff Appreciation Award.

Utah State had six gymnasts earn first-team All-MW honors during the 2026 season in Jelen (beam), Witte (beam), Orengo (bars), junior Nyla Morabito (vault), junior Isabella Vater (floor), and sophomore Lundyn VanderToolen (bars). Jelen also earned second-team All-MW honors on bars.
