LOGAN, Utah – Utah State's golf team travels to Tucson, Arizona, this weekend to compete in the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Men's Championship.
The Aggies will join 10 other teams at the 54-hole event, which takes place Sunday through Tuesday, May 3-5, on the par-73, 7,262-yard Catalina Course at the Omni Tucson National Resort.
The 11-team field will complete 18 holes each day, following a practice round on Saturday. The Aggies will tee off with Wyoming and Air Force starting at 7 a.m. (PT). Pairings for the final two rounds will be based on team standings from the previous day.

Scheduled to compete for the Aggies is sophomore Chase Goetschel (Trabuco Canyon, Calif.), sophomore Noah Moody (Vineyard, Utah), freshman Zach Skinner (Providence, Utah), sophomore Toby Heider (Kimberly, Idaho), and sophomore Hunter Hall (Cody, Wyo.). Senior Luis Cantu (Monterrey, Mexico) will be the Aggies' first alternate.
Utah State placed sixth at last year's MW Championships at 16-under 848 (286-279-283), its best conference tournament placing since also finishing sixth at the 2013 Western Athletic Conference Championships. Heider is the only current Aggie that played at last year's championship as he tied for 28th at 1-under 215 (72-69-74).
USU's 16-under 848 at the 2025 MW Championships is its best-ever 54-hole score at a conference tournament and best 54-hole score at any tournament since shooting a school record 29-under 835 to win the 2023 Monterrey Collegiate Classic.
Goetschel leads USU with a stroke average of 72.56 over 27 rounds this year. Moody has a stroke average of 73.41 over 27 rounds. Heider has a stroke average of 74.83 over 24 rounds. Cantu has a stroke average of 75.00 over 18 rounds. Skinner has a stroke average of 75.08 over 24 rounds. Hall has a stroke average of 75.75 over 12 rounds.
