LOGAN, Utah – Utah State's Director of Track & Field & Cross Country, Artie Gulden, announced the program's cross country schedule for the 2026 season on Thursday. The campaign will consist of six regular-season and three postseason meets.

Utah State will host the first of its two home meets at the Steve and Dona Reeder Cross Country Course, opening the season with the Utah State Alumni Challenge taking place on Saturday, Sept. 5. The men will kick off the day's competition with the 7k race at 9 a.m., followed by the women's 5k at 9:45 a.m. Attendance at both home meets is free to the public.

Two weeks after their season opener, the Aggie men will take the first of two regular-season trips to Terre Haute, Indiana, for the John McNichols Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 19. The meet, hosted by Indiana State, will give the Aggies an early opportunity to test the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course, the site of the 2026 NCAA Cross Country Championships. The following week, the women's squad will compete in the Missouri State-hosted Gans Creek Classic in Columbia, Missouri, on Friday, Sept. 25.

Both squads will reassemble to head north for the Bengal Invitational at Idaho State in Pocatello, Idaho, on Friday, Oct. 2, before returning home for the Steve T. Reeder Memorial Invitational on Friday, Oct. 9. Since 2019, at least one Aggie squad has claimed the team title at the home meet, most recently with the women's team capturing the win in 2025. The men's 7K will take place at 11 a.m. before the women's 5K at 11:45 a.m.

In preparation for the postseason, the Aggies will again travel to Terre Haute, Indiana, for the Under Armour Pre-National Invitational on Friday, Oct. 16, marking the end of the regular season campaign.

The postseason slate begins with the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships on Friday, Oct. 30, taking place at Warm Springs Golf Course in Boise, Idaho. Two weeks later, qualifiers will head to the Mountain Regional in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Friday, Nov. 13, before the season concludes at the NCAA Championships at Indiana State on Friday, Nov. 21.
