LOGAN, Utah – Utah State Athletics announced an anonymous $500,000 investment from a Salt Lake City executive Friday to support the continued growth of the athletics department as the Aggies compete in the Pac-12.
"I'm extremely grateful for the generosity of this loyal Aggie family and the support they are providing to Utah State Athletics," said Utah State Vice President and Director of Athletics
Cameron Walker. "As we continue our pursuit of success in the Pac-12, investments like these will be vital to helping us provide an unbelievable student-athlete experience and compete for championships."
The gift, made by an Aggie alumnus, reflects the continued support of Utah State alumni for the future of Aggie Athletics.
The $500,000 contribution also unlocked Tartan Investors Circle recognition, which is extended to Blue A Society members whose five-year commitments total $500,000 or more. The newly formed Blue A Society level recognizes supporters who invest at the highest level of Utah State Athletics and provides special access to meetings with coaches and administrators, along with other benefits.
The investment comes during a year of continued momentum for Utah State Athletics. It marks the fifth gift of $500,000 or more announced since the launch of the Show Me initiative. The Big Blue Club also surpassed 2,100 donors for the first time, while the athletics department raised more than $18 million in 2026, the second-highest fundraising total in department history.
This gift kicks off early giving for Utah State Athletics' A Day of Giving campaign as part of the Sept. 24 campus-wide day of philanthropy.
Show Me Initiative
Utah State Athletics recently launched the Show Me initiative, aimed at strengthening the department as it competes in the Pac-12, with specific six- and 18-month goals. Philanthropic investments play a key role in the initiative, including contributions to the Blue A Society, which requires financial commitments of $25,000 or more over a five-year period. Supporters whose five-year commitments total $500,000 or more also unlock Tartan Investors Circle recognition.
