Cross Country (2016): Competed in three meets during the season with his best finish coming at the Utah State-hosted Sagebrush Invitational, where he placed 36th with a time of 23:02.25… Earned academic all-Mountain West and MW Scholar-Athlete honors.
Indoor: Competed in the 800m at two meets during the season, recording a personal-best time of 2:02.43 at the Boise State-hosted Jacksons/New Balance Invitational.
Outdoor: Did not compete... Earned Mountain West Scholar-Athlete honors.

HIGH SCHOOL: An eight-time letterwinner in cross country and track & field at Tahoma High School in Covington, Wash... Helped the Bears capture the state 4A cross country title in 2015, to go along with a third-place finish in 2014... Garnered the Bear Backbone Award for cross country in 2015 and the Coaches' Award in 2014... Recorded career-best times of 1:56.56 in the 800m as a senior, 4:19.02 in the 1,600m as a junior and 16:01.5 at the Nike Pre-Nationals cross country meet as a junior.

PERSONAL: One of two children of Jarrett and Angie Houser... Plans on majoring in human movement science.
