2015 (SR): Placed third in the 4,000m distance medley relay with a personal-best time of 10:17.93 at the Boise-State hosted Ed Jacoby Invitational... Also set personal-best times in the mile (4:23.50) and 5,000m (14:54.38) at the Ed Jacoby Invitational and Washington-hosted Husky Classic, respectively... Redshirted during the outdoor season... Was a MW Scholar-Athlete.

2014 (JR.): Placed 17th in the 5,000m and 19th in the 3,000m at the MW Indoor Championships... Finished first in the 3,000m at the Boise State Team Challenge... Placed seventh in the 1,500m at the Weber State Invite...Earned academic all-MW honors.

2013 (XC): Placed 34th at the MW Championships and 62nd at the NCAA Mountain Regionals... Earned academic all-MW honors and was a MW Scholar-Athlete.

2013 (SO.): Named first-team all-WAC after placing third in the 3,000m and second-team all-WAC honors after finishing fifth in the 5,000m at the Indoor Championships... Placed eighth in the 5,000m and 10th in the 10,000m races at the WAC Outdoor Championships... Earned academic all-WAC honors.

2012 (XC): Tabbed second-team all-WAC after placing 14th at the Cross Country Championships... Earned academic all-WAC honors.

2012 (FR.): Named second-team all-WAC after finishing fifth in the 10,000m at the Outdoor Championships... Earned academic all-WAC honors.

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-time letterwinner... District champion in 1,600m during senior season and took third at state in the 1,600m and 3,200m races.

PERSONAL: Full name is Chris Joseph Martinez... The only child of Greg and Pam Martinez... Majoring in mechanical engineering.
