2015 (JR): Earned second-team Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference honors after placing fifth with a 38.425 in the all-around at the Conference Championships… Averaged 39.010 in the all-around and had an RQS of 39.235 to rank eighth in the North Central Region and tied for 34th in the nation… Also averaged a 9.802 on vault, 9.785 on floor, 9.719 on bars and 9.713 on beam… Her vault average ranks as the fourth-best in school history… Competed in three events at the NCAA Regional Championships in Berkeley, Calif. (4/4), finishing 20th with a 9.700 on beam, tied for 25th with a 9.750 on bars and 39th with a 9.700 on vault… Recorded a team-best nine event titles, including three in the all-around… Set career highs of 9.875 on beam at BYU (1/23) and 9.875 on floor twice… Earned academic all-MRGC honors and was a USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete Award recipient.
2014 (SO): Competed in the first five meets before suffering a season-ending injury... Averaged a 9.655 on bars... Had a season-high 9.850 on bars at Southern Utah (1/17) and at Air Force (2/1)... Tied her career high on floor with a 9.750 at home against BYU (1/24).
2013 (FR): Made a strong impression in her first collegiate season on vault and bars... Started the season with four event wins, placing first on bars against SUU and Hamline (1/25) with a 9.825, at San José State and Brown (2/15) with a 9.875 and at home against Air Force (2/8) with a 9.775... She also claiming the vault title with a 9.775 at Southern Utah (2/1)... Tied for second place on vault in a quad meet at Denver (2/23) with a career-best 9.900... Set her season-best beam score of 9.725 at San José State and Brown... Saw continued success until suffering a season-ending injury on the vault in a dual meet at Sacramento State (3/1).
CLUB/HIGH SCHOOL: Competed at Magic Valley Gymnastics under Jennifer Clinton... Was a state champion in the all-around competition from 2009-12... Was a Junior Olympics National Qualifier in the all-around five years in a row... Was on the honor roll all four years at Kimberly High School.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Robert and Toni Martinez... Youngest of 11 children... Chose Utah State because of the balance of community, academics and gymnastics... Majoring in exercise science.
