2014 (JR): Competed in all but two meets on bars during the season, averaging a 9.527, including the NCAA Fayetteville Regional... Set a season-high score on bars of 9.85 at the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Championships (T-7th)... Was a USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete Award recipient.
2013 (SO): Had a consistent presence on vault and bars throughout the season... Averaged a 9.733 on vault and a 9.446 on bars... Set her career high on vault in a dual meet against Boise State with a 9.875 (T-2nd)... Finished tied for 11th on vault and tied for 10th on bars at the WAC Championships, landing a 9.825 on both events... Earned academic all-WAC honors and was a USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete Award recipient.
2012 (FR): Earned second-team all-WAC honors on vault by wrapping up the season with a then-career-high on vault at the WAC Championships with a 9.825 (5th) and a 9.775 (T-12th) on bars... Averaged a 9.663 on bars, setting her career-high at 9.850 against San José State... Had her best event finish, placing third on bars at Southern Utah with a 9.750... Was a USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete Award recipient.
CLUB/HIGH SCHOOL: Competed for Euro Stars Gymnastics under Peter and Tania Gueorguive... Was named the 2011 Level 10 National Champion on vault and placed eighth on bars... Placed third in the all-around at the 2010 Level 10 National Invitation Tournament... In 2008, she was the Level 9 Regional all-around and bars champion... Placed third in the all-around at 2008 Level 9 Nationals.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Steve and MaryBeth Betts... Has one brother and two sisters... Enjoys bike riding and hiking... Chose Utah State for the beautiful mountains, the ideal campus size and the comfortable atmosphere on the team... Majoring in business administration.
