Indoor: Placed 27th in the long jump (5.14 meters/16-10.50) at the Mountain West Indoor Championships, where she also competed in the triple jump, but did not record a mark… Recorded career-best mark of 5.59 meters (18-4.25) in the long jump to place third at the Boise State-hosted Jacksons/Nike Boise Indoor.
Outdoor: Competed in the long jump and triple jump during the season… Placed in the top-10 in the long jump five times, including a pair of second-place finishes at the UC Irvine-hosted Collegiate Classic (5.57 meters/18-3.25) and the Weber State-hosted Twilight Meet (5.44 meters/17-10.25)… Recorded four top-10 finishes in the triple jump, including capturing third place at the Utah Valley Invitational with a mark of 10.31 meters (33-10).

2018 (FR)
Indoor: Placed 14th in the long jump with a season-best mark of 5.49 meters (18-0.25) at the Mountain West Indoor Championships… Recorded career-best times of 9.28 in the 60-meter hurdles at the Boise State-hosted Ed Jacoby Invitational and 11.23 meters (36-10.25) in the triple jump at the BSU-hosted Bronco Challenge.
Outdoor: Finished 17th in the long jump (5.65 meters/18-6.5) at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships… Recorded career-best marks of 5.85 meters (19-2.5) in the long jump, which ranks ninth all-time in school history, at the Utah/Weber State-hosted Spring Classic and 11.37 meters (37-3.25) in the triple jump at the Utah State-hosted Mark Faldmo Invitational… Ran career-best time of 15.65 in the 100-meter hurdles at the Utah Valley Invitational… Earned academic all-MW, MW Scholar-Athlete and USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete accolades.

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterwinner as a jumper and hurdler at Churchill County High School in Fallon, Nev… Was a two-time state champion and a three-time regional champion in both the long jump and the triple jump, while also medaling in both state and region meets in the 300m hurdles, 100m hurdles, pole vault and 4x200m relay… Was named a three-time MVP and the Las Vegas Review Journal’s Best of Nevada Preps… Also competed for the club team, Wave Elite… Placed first in the 400m hurdles, third in the long jump and third in the 100m hurdles at the West Coast National Championships… Placed second in the 400m hurdles, third in the long jump and fourth in the 100m hurdles at the Junior Olympics Qualifier… Recorded personal bests of 18-1 in the long jump, 37-6 in the triple jump, 48.5 in the 300m hurdles and 15.45 in the 100m hurdles… Also recorded a 9-foot pole vault mark and ran on the 4x200m relay (1:49) and 4x400m relay (4:27.37) teams… Was also a four-year letterwinner in volleyball, posting 151 kills, 92 blocks, 39 assists, 43 digs, 21 aces and a .372 hitting percentage as a senior… Had single-match bests of 15 kills and 19 total blocks… Earned first-team all-state honors and was a two-time first-team all-region honoree… Graduated Phi Theta Kappa with an associate’s degree from Western Nevada College while still in high school… Graduated high school with a 4.25 GPA, was a member of the National Honor Society and earned eight academic all-state honors in track and volleyball…Was a Wendy’s High School Heisman school winner and a state finalist in the same award.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Hoyt and Carmen Skabelund… Has one older brother… Cousin, Tanner Skabelund, plays volleyball at BYU, while another cousin, Tasha Skabelund, plays volleyball at Cal State Bakersfield… Majoring in public health education.
