Indoor: Placed seventh in the high jump with a mark of 2.05 meters (6-8.75) at the Mountain West Indoor Championships… Finished fourth in the high jump with a career-best mark of 2.12 meters (6-11.50), which ranks ninth all-time in school history, at the New Mexico-hosted Don Kirby Elite Invitational… Won the high jump competition at the Utah State-hosted Speed and Power Meet, clearing a height of 2.03 meters (6-7.75)… Opened the season by placing sixth in the high jump with a mark of 1.92 meters (6-3.50) at the BYU Invitational… Placed 14th in the high jump with a mark of 1.91 meters (6-3.25) at the Idaho State-hosted Stacy Dragila Invitational.
Outdoor: Placed eighth in the high jump with a mark of 1.96 meters (6-5.00) at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships… Opened the season by placing second in the high jump with a season-best mark of 2.00 meters (6-6.75) at the Arizona-hosted Willie Williams Classic… Placed sixth in the high jump with a mark of 1.90 meters (6-2.75) at the Utah State-hosted Aggie Invitational… Cleared a height of 1.91 meters (6-3.25) to place ninth in the high jump at the BYU-hosted Robison Invitational... Earned Academic All-MW honors and was named a Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete.

2021 (FR)
Indoor: Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Outdoor: Placed eighth in the high jump with a height of 1.96 meters (6-5) at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships… Competed in the high jump at five meets with his best finish coming at the Utah State-hosted Aggie Invitational, where he placed fourth with a mark of 2.00 meters (6-6.75)… Notched career-best height of 2.01 meters (6-7.25) in the high jump at the BYU-hosted Robison Invitational, where he placed sixth in the event.

HIGH SCHOOL: Competed in track & field at Green Canyon High School in North Logan, Utah… Became the Wolves' first state champion in any sport after matching his personal best in the high jump with a mark of 1.93 meters (6-4) as a senior to win the event at the 2018 4A State Championships... Also recorded personal-best times of 12.50 in the 100 meters and 48.93 in the 300-meter hurdles, and 5.68 meters (18-8) in the long jump, during his senior season.

PERSONAL: Son of Dave and Elisa Hoffman… Has three brothers and one sister… His sister, Katie, is also a member of the USU track & field team… His father also competed in track & field at Utah State and is the school record holder in the outdoor high jump with a mark of 2.30 meters (7-6.50), which he set in 2001… Undeclared on a college major.
