Indoor: Earned first-team all-Mountain West honors after placing third in the 200 meters with a time of 21.27, which ranks third all-time in school history, at the Indoor Championships, where he also finished fifth in the 4x400-meter with a career-best time of 3:14.40… Won the 400 meters and the 4x400-meter relay with respective times of 48.59 and 3:17.65 at the Idaho State-hosted Stacy Dragila Invitational… Ran a personal-best time of 21.17 in the 200 meters to place second at the New Mexico-hosted Don Kirby Elite Invitational… Opened the season by finishing second in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:20.07 at the BYU Invitational… Placed fifth in the 600 meters with a career-best time of 1:26.40 at the Utah State-hosted Speed and Power Meet.
Outdoor: Earned first-team all-Mountain West honors after placing third in the 4x100-meter relay with a career-time of 41.27 at the Outdoor Championships, where he also placed eighth in the 4x400-meter relay (3:18.04) and 10th in the prelims of the 200 meters (21.64)… Won the 200 meters at the BYU-hosted Robison Invitational with a career-best time of 20.99, which ranks ninth all-time in program history… Placed first in both the 200 meters (21.16) and 400 meters (career-best 47.33) at the Utah State-hosted Aggie Invitational… Opened the season by finishing second in the 4x400-meter relay (career-best 3:15.52) and third in the 400 meters (48.08) at the Utah Valley Invitational… Placed third in the 200 meters (21.19) and 20th in the 400 meters (48.92) at the Long Beach Invitational.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Spent his freshman and sophomore seasons at Nebraska, where he finished 19th in the 200 meters with a season-best time of 21.64 at the 2020 Big Ten Indoor Championships… Also ran indoor personal bests of 6.91 in the 60 meters and 1:25.33 in the 600 meters that same season… As a freshman in 2019, recorded a personal-best indoor time of 48.82 in the 400 meters… Did not compete in either outdoor season while at Nebraska… A two-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll honoree.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Lone Peak High School in Highland, Utah… Set personal bests of 10.76 in the 100 meters, 21.16 in the 200 meters and 47.76 in the 400 meters… Was a two-time state champion in the 200 meters, won the 100 meters in 2017 and won the 400 meters as a senior in 2018… Owns three career silver medals at the state meet in the 100, 200 and 400 meters… Was the region champion in all three sprints during his junior campaign with the Knights.

PERSONAL: Son of Elwon Bakly and Amanda Williams… Has four brothers and sisters… Majoring in nutrition science.
