Cross Country (2022): Finished in the top 16 at all four meets he competed in… Named the Mountain West Athlete of the Week after leading Utah State to the team title at the Utah Open, where he clocked a 6K time of 19:13.5 to finish second and lead a 2-3-4-5-6 finish for Utah State… Placed sixth with a 6K time of 18:59.3 at the Idaho State Open to help the Aggies capture the team title… Opened the season by placing 14th with a 7K time of 22:07 at the Utah State-hosted Sagebrush Invitational, where Utah State captured the team title… Also helped the Aggies place first as a team at the USU-hosted Steve T. Reeder Memorial Invitational, placing 16th with a 7K time of 22:26.30... Earned MW Scholar-Athlete honors.
Indoor: Did not compete during the indoor season.
Outdoor: Set a personal best in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:19.04 as he finished ninth at the San Francisco State-hosted Mike Fanelli Track Classic… Earned Mountain West Scholar-Athlete honors.

2022 (FR)
Cross Country (2021): Made his Aggie debut at the Utah State-hosted Sagebrush Invitational, where he finished 11th with a time of 22:38… Placed 26th with a time of 26:06.60 at the Montana State Invitational, where the Aggies captured the team title… Recorded back-to-back 14th-place finishes at the Idaho State Invitational (19:28.3) and the Utah State-hosted Steve T. Reeder Memorial Invitational (22:40.6)… Concluded the season by placing 16th with a time of 19:55.4 at the Utah Open, where the Aggies finished first as a team... Named a MW Scholar-Athlete.
Indoor: Did not compete during the indoor season.
Outdoor: Won the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:35.78 at the Utah State-hosted Aggie Invitational… Placed third in the steeplechase with a career-best time of 9:22.12 at the Idaho State-hosted Bengal Invitational… Finished seventh in the 3,000 meters with a personal-best time of 8:53.51 at the Utah Valley Invitational… Opened the season by placing fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:52.00 at the Arizona-hosted Willie Williams Classic… Placed third in the steeplechase with a time of 9:31.72 at the BYU-hosted Robison Invitational... Was named a MW Scholar-Athlete and a USU Whitesides Scholar-Athlete.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Timpanogos High School in Orem, Utah, where he helped lead the Timberwolves to state and region cross country titles in 2014 and 2015… Timpanogos HS captured the region championship in 2016, and finished runner-up at state in 2016 and 2017… Earned first-team all-state honors in cross country in 2017… Ran career-best times of 4:26 in the mile and 15:27 in the 5K… Graduated from Timpanogos HS with a 4.0 GPA… Member of the National Honor Society and earned both a Regents Scholarship and PPEF Scholarship.

PERSONAL: Son of John and Diane Berlin… Has five brothers and one sister… Two of his cousins, Mattie Geddes and Maren Garnett, are members of the Utah State cross country/track & field teams… Served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Rome, Italy, from 2018-20… Undeclared on a college major.
