2025 (SR)
Indoor: Took second in the shot put and eighth in the weight throw at the Mountain West Indoor Championships, posting marks of 18.40 meters (60-4.5) and a personal-best 18.64 meters (61-1.75), respectively… Won the shot put title at the Idaho-State hosted Stacy Dragila Open with a throw of 18.35 meters (60-2.5)… Set a personal best in the shot put with a distance of 18.47 meters (60-7.25) as he placed second at the Idaho State-hosted Snake River Open.
Outdoor: Finished 30th in the discus at the NCAA West First Rounds with a distance of 54.95 meters (180-3)… Placed second in the discus and sixth in the shot put at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships with a personal-best mark 57.13 meters (187-5) and a throw of 17.64 meters (57-10.5), respectively… Set a personal-best mark of 18.13 meters (59-5.75) in the shot put at the BYU-hosted Robison Invitational, placing second… Finished first in the shot put at the Utah State-hosted Aggie Invitational with a throw of 17.92 meters (58-9.5).

2024 (JR)
Indoor: Finished fifth in the shot put (16.35 meters (53-7.75)) and 10th in the weight throw (15.56 meters (51-0)) at the Mountain West Indoor Championships… Set a season best in the shot put with a mark of 16.97 meters (55-8) as he took second at the BYU December Invitational… Won the shot put at the Idaho State-hosted Mountain State Games with a mark of 16.53 meters (54-2.75).
Outdoor: Finished sixth in the discus with a mark of 51.47 meters (168-10) and eighth in the shot put with a mark of 16.53 meters (54-2.75) at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships… Set season bests in the discus with a mark of 51.79 meters (169-11) (30th) and shot put 16.59 meters (54-5.25) (26th) at the Long Beach State-hosted Beach Invitational.

2023 (SO)
Indoor: Finished seventh in the weight throw with a season-best mark of 17.46 meters (57-3) and 10th in the shot put with a mark of 15.66 meters (51-4.50) at the Mountain West Indoor Championships… Set a season best in the shot put with a mark of 16.35 meters (53-7.75) as he finished second at the Washington Invitational… Won the weight throw with a mark of 16.87 meters (55-4.25) and the shot put with a mark of 16.15 meters (53-0) at the Utah State-hosted Speed and Power Meet… Set a personal best in the discus with a mark of 44.88 meters (147-3.0) as he took sixth at the BYU Invitational II.
Outdoor: Finished eighth in the discus with a season-best mark of 50.53 meters (165-9), ninth in the hammer with a mark of 50.89 meters (166-11) and 11th in the shot put with a mark of 15.64 meters (51-3.75) at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships… Set a personal best in the hammer with a mark of 52.40 meters (171-11) as he placed 11th at the Arizona-hosted Willie Williams Classic… Took fifth in the shot put with a season-best mark of 16.32 meters (53-6.50) at the Fresno State Invitational.

2022 (FR)
Indoor: Placed 11th in both the weight throw (13.77 meters/45-2.00) and shot put (15.17 meters/49-9.25) at the Mountain West Indoor Championships… Set a season-best mark in the weight throw of 16.43 meters (53-11.00) to place 21st at the New Mexico-hosted Don Kirby Elite Invitational, where he also finished 29th in the shot put with a mark of 14.60 meters (47-11.00)… Set a season-best mark of 15.38 meters (50-5.50) to place fourth in the shot put at the Utah State-hosted Speed and Power Meet, where he captured the weight throw title a mark of 15.63 meters (51-3.50)… Opened the season at the BYU Invitational, where he placed fifth in the weight throw (14.63 meters/48-0.00) and ninth in the shot put (14.55 meters/47-8.75)… Finished fifth in the weight throw (15.01 meters/49-3.00) and sixth in the shot put (14.28 meters/46-10.25) at the Washington Invitational.
Outdoor: Placed seventh in the shot put (15.82 meters/51-11.00), eighth in the hammer (season-best 50.59 meters/165-11) and eighth in the discus (48.53 meters/159-2) at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships… Finished first in the shot put (16.12 meters/52-10.75), fourth in the hammer (48.80 meters/160-1) and seventh in the discus (45.11 meters/148-0) at the Stanford Invitational… Set season-best marks of 16.42 meters (53-10.50) in the shot put and 49.50 meters (162-5) in the discus to finish fifth and 14th, respectively, at the Fresno State Invitational, where he also placed 25th in the hammer with a mark of 48.29 meters (158-5)… Finished sixth in the hammer (47.38 meters/155-5), seventh in the shot put (15.10 meters/49-6.50) and ninth in the discus (44.48 meters/145-11) at the Utah State-hosted Aggie Invitational… Opened the season by placing eighth in the hammer (48.37 meters/158-8), 11th in the shot put (14.27 meters/46-10) and 15th in the discus (42.66 meters/139-11) at the Arizona-hosted Willie Williams Classic.

HIGH SCHOOL: Participated in the shot put and discus events at Rigby (Idaho) High School… Won the state title in the shot put his senior season, also placing second in the discus… Registered third-place finishes in state for the shot put his freshman, sophomore and junior seasons… Was a three-year member of the football and basketball teams… Recorded 26 sacks, 33 tackles-for-loss and 117 total tackles in football.

PERSONAL: Son of Eric and Heidi Franz… Has three older brothers and one younger sister… Brother, Justin, competed in track & field for Idaho State from 2011-2017… Majoring in dietetics.
