To ensure public safety and an enjoyable experience for all guests, Utah State University is implementing a phased security check, including a bag search, at football and men’s basketball games during the 2019-20 season. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to ensure smooth entry.
WHAT IS THE BAG SEARCH POLICY?
All bags brought to the venues are subject to search. Authorized personnel will ask guests to open each bag and display its contents. Prohibited items will not be allowed into the venue.
WHY DID UTAH STATE ADOPT THIS POLICY?
Utah State University adopted the Bag Search policy to enhance public safety at our venues and provide a great game day experience by making the stadium more secure.
CAN I BRING MORE THAN ONE BAG INTO THE VENUE?
Each ticketed guest is limited to carry one bag plus a small clutch purse. The small clutch allows privacy for small personal items and also is easily searched.
CAN I BRING A BLANKET AND EXTRA JACKET/CLOTHING INTO THE VENUE?
Guests may carry these items into the venues; however, folded items are subject to search.
CAN I BRING DIAPER BAGS OR MEDICAL BAGS INTO THE VENUE?
Diaper bags and medical bags are permitted and are subject to search.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I BRING AN ITEM THAT IS NOT PERMITTED?
Guests carrying a prohibited item will not be permitted inside the venue. Fans with prohibited items will need to return those items to their vehicle or dispose of the items properly before entering the venue.
CAN I BRING A CLEAR BAG?
Guests with a 12x12x6 inch clear bag or a one-gallon size clear and sealable bag will be expedited through the bag search process.
ARE OTHER EVENTS LIMITING BAGS?
Yes. In fact, many other NCAA venues around the country have enforced a bag search or clear bag policy. We feel these venues have had success in providing safe environments for their fans so we want to provide our fans the same.
CAN GUESTS CARRY CAMERAS, BINOCULARS, SMART PHONES OR TABLETS SEPARATELY FROM WHAT THEY PUT IN A CLEAR BAG?
All of these items can be carried into the stadium as long as they are not in a bag or case. For example, while binoculars and cameras are allowed, the binocular case or camera case is not allowed. This is not a restriction on game day items brought into the stadium, only a restriction on the type of container used to carry the items. These items may be stored in guest’s searched large bag.
ARE SEAT CUSHIONS ALLOWED TO BE CARRIED INTO THE VENUE?
Seat cushions and seat backs are permitted.

- Alcohol
- Tobacco, Smoking, or E-Cigarettes
- Non-service animals
- Artificial Noisemakers
- Firework or laser pointers
- Bicycles, scooters, skateboards
