Aggies Walk the Walk

In partnership with several campus and community organizations, USU Athletics is proud to host the second annual Aggie Walk the Walk event. This walk honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and serves as the centerpiece of Aggie Walk the Walk Week. The week is designed to inspire reflection on our civic responsibility—both as individuals and as a collective—toward promoting the common good for every member of the Aggie Family, Cache Valley, and the State of Utah.

FAQ

At 6PM Jan 22, we will meet at the east entrance to the Old Main Building by the Abraham Lincoln and George Washington statues (see Google Maps).
Please wear warm clothes and shoes that work well in the Utah snow.
We want to help make your experience here at USU great. Generally, the best places for visitors to park are the Aggie Terrace, Big Blue Terrace, TSC Visitor lot, or the Gateway Parking Terrace.
Metered parking is also at Old Main and along Logan City streets on campus (see USU Visitor Parking).
We have timed the Walk to be 15 to 20 minutes long. East Old Main entrance to the Wayne Estes Arena.
We will walk no matter the weather unless the roads are closed, and it is unsafe to drive. Moreover, if the USU Men’s basketball game is canceled at 7 pm, we will cancel the Walk, too.
The event is FREE for all to attend. If participants are interested in attending the basketball game after the walk a ticket will be required to enter the game.

6:00 p.m. - Utah State University Leadership Pre-Walk Address

6:05 p.m. - Walk Begins

6:20 p.m. - 6:25 p.m. - Arrive at Wayne Estes Center

6:25 p.m. - Utah State University Leadership Concluding Statements
