Bailee Dierks is in her first year as assistant coach for Utah State's track and field and cross country programs.
Dierks joined the Aggies’ coaching staff after spending the 2024-25 season at North Dakota State, where she served as the Bison’s assistant coach over hurdles and multis. In her time at NDSU, Dierks helped the Bison women to the 2025 Summit League indoor track and field title, with Elise Wisnewski earning Women’s Newcomer of the Championship honors, and coached Brooks Turner and Anika Larson to individual titles in the men’s 60-meter hurdles and the women’s 100 meters, respectively. Under her tutelage, three Bison men qualified for the 2025 NCAA West First Rounds in the 110-meter hurdles, with Turner and Blake Nyenati breaking the NDSU school record in the event in consecutive weeks.
Dierks competed in track and field at North Dakota State from 2019-2024, enjoying a decorated career as a sprinter and hurdler. She was a part of the Bison women’s three indoor and three outdoor conference championships, earning five career All-Summit League honors in the 400-meter hurdles, 4x400-meter relay and distance medley relay. Dierks qualified to the NCAA West First Rounds three times in her career, placing 28th in the 400-meter hurdles in 2023, 40th in the 100-meter hurdles and 32nd in the 400-meter hurdles in 2024. She was a member of two school-record performances in the shuttle hurdle relay and finished her career ranked third in NDSU history in both the 100-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles and seventh in the 60-meter hurdles.
Academically, Dierks earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors in 2023 and 2024. The native of Hudson, Wisconsin, graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in physical and health education and a master’s degree in leadership in physical education and sport.
