HONORS: Academic All-Mountain West (2013 XC, 2014 XC).

2015 (JR): Finished 13th in the 3,000m steeplechase (9:49.35) and 32nd in the 5,000m (16:15.35) at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships… Best finish of the indoor season came at the Boise Statehosted Bronco Invitational, where he placed sixth in the 3,000m with a time of 9:05.29… Set personal-best times of 4:24.09 in the 1,500m at the UVU Invitational, 9:44.09 in the 3,000m steeplechase at the Californiahosted Brutus Hamilton Open/Challenge and 9:30.06 in the 3,000m at the Utah Statehosted Mark Faldmo Invitational, where he placed third in the event.

2014 (XC): Placed 28th at the Aggie Invitational... Finished 38th at the Montana State Invitational... Earned academic all-Mountain West honors.

2013 (SO): Placed 15th in the 3,000m at the Jacksons Invitational.

2013 (XC): Placed 45th at the Mountain West Championships and 85th at the NCAA Mountain Regionals... Finished eighth at the Montana State Invitational... Earned academic all-MW honors.

2010 (FR): Finished in the top 20 twice, along with placing 36th at the WAC Cross Country Championships.

HIGH SCHOOL: An eight-time letterwinner in cross country and track & field... Won the Region 5 and 3A Utah individual state championships as a junior and senior... Member of the 2007 state championship team, as well as the 2007 and 2008 region championship teams.

PERSONAL: Oldest of six children of Brad and Alydia Barton... Majoring in nutrition, dietetics and food sciences.
