Cross Country (2018): Placed 108th with a time of 22:19.5 at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships… Finished 47th with a time of 22:48.2 at the Mountain West Championships… Ran in four races for the Aggies during the season… Placed 62nd with a time of 21:50 at the Lehigh-hosted Paul Short Run and 98th with a time of 21:46.3 at Pre-Nationals... Earned academic all-MW and MW Scholar-Athlete honors.
Indoor: Did not compete during the season.
Outdoor: Placed 17th in the 10,000 meters with a time of 37:14.78 at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships… Ran career-best time of 4:54.31 in the 1,500 meters at the Utah State-hosted Aggie Invitational… Named USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete of the Year, as well as earned academic all-MW, MW Scholar-Athlete and Whitesides Scholar-Athlete accolades.

2018 (JR)
Cross Country (2017): Was an alternate at the NCAA National Cross Country Championships… Placed 60th at the NCAA Mountain Regional Championships with a time of 21:27.7… Finished 27th at the Mountain West Championships with a mark of 21:51.05… Raced in four other competitions during the year, with her best finish coming at the Utah State-hosted Sagebrush Invitational, where she placed second with a time of 17:59.299… Earned academic all-MW and MW Scholar-Athlete honors.
Indoor: Finished 11th in the 5,000 meters (17:22.62) and 17th in the 3,000 meters (10:06.12) at the Mountain West Indoor Championships… Her times in both of those events proved to be personal bests, while the mark in the 5K ranks ninth all-time in school history.
Outdoor: Placed 46th in the 5,000 meters with a time of 17:04.08 at the NCAA West Preliminary Championships… Finished 11th in the 5K with a time of 16:44.42 at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships… Recorded career-best time of 16:17.24 in the 5K, which ranks second all-time in school history, at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays, placing seventh in the event… Set personal-best time of 36:50.19 in the 10,000 meters at the San Francisco Distance Carnival, where she finished 17th in the event… Garnered USTFCCCA All-Academic, academic all-MW, MW Scholar-Athlete and USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete accolades.

Cross Country (2016): Finished 76th with a time of 22:06.70 at the NCAA Mountain Regionals… Placed 51st with a time of 22:11.20 at the Mountain West Championships… Competed in six meets during the season with her best finish coming at the Pre-Nationals open race, where she finished 19th with a time of 22:36.3… Earned academic all-MW and MW Scholar-Athlete honors.
Indoor: Placed 23rd in the 3,000 meters with a season-best time of 10:11.92 at the Mountain West Indoor Championships… Notched season-best time of 18:10.00 in the 5,000 meters at the Boise State Challenge.
Outdoor: Placed 19th in the 10,000 meters with a time of 39:22.94 at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships… Set personal-best time of 10:00.54 in the 3,000 meters at the UCLA-hosted Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational… Recorded season-best time of 36:56.93 in the 10K at the Stanford-hosted Cardinal Classic… Earned academic all-MW, MW Scholar-Athlete and USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete honors.

2016 (RS-FR)
Cross Country (2015): Competed in two meets during the season, finishing 24th with a time of 18:59 at the Utah State Invitational and 50th with a time of 19:21.41 at the Montana State Invitational… Earned Mountain West Scholar-Athlete honors.
Indoor: Placed second in the DMR with a personal-best time of 12:39.66 at the Boise State-hosted Jacksons/New Balance Invitational… Also recorded career-best time of 5:18.99 in the mile at the Jacksons/New Balance Invitational.
Outdoor: Finished 12th in the 10,000 meters with a season-best time of 38:46.02 at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships… Also competed in the 1,500 meters, 3,000 meters and 5,000 meters on the season… Earned academic all-MW, MW Scholar-Athlete and USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete accolades.

HIGH SCHOOL: An eight-time letterwinner in cross country and track & field at Jordan High School in Sandy, Utah... Received all-state honors in 2011, 2012 and 2013... Was the state runner-up in cross country in 2011 and 2012... Helped Jordan HS become region champions in 2012.

PERSONAL: Full name is Tavia Lauren Dutson... One of four children of Tracy and Sheryl Dutson... Sister, Hannah, is also on USU's track & field team... Majoring in biology.
