Aman Anand (Ah-mun Ah-nund) is in his first year with Utah State’s football program as a graduate assistant coach for the Aggies’ defense. In his role, Anand assists the defensive and special teams coaches with daily football operations, primarily working with the defensive line and co-defensive coordinator/defensive line coach Frank Maile, along with special teams coordinator Mark Tommerdahl. Anand will also help with the scout team, along with assisting with scouting reports and playbook responsibilities.
    Prior to his current position at Utah State, Anand spent the 2015 season as a defensive graduate assistant at Northern Arizona, working with the defensive line and assisting the defensive staff with scouting reports, opponent analysis, and operations.
    Anand also spent three years (2012-14) as a student assistant coach at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, where he worked with the defensive backs and special teams.
    Anand began his collegiate coaching career at Old Dominion in 2011, as he helped the Monarchs advance to the second round of the NCAA FCS Playoffs.
    Anand, who prepped at George C. Marshall High School in Falls Church, Va., received his undergraduate degree in interdisciplinary sciences and his master’s in educational leadership from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
