Biography

2003-04 SEASON (SR): Played in 24 games during his senior season, while making one start in Utah State’s 87-61 victory over Cal State Fullerton (2/21)… Averaged 1.3 points and 1.3 rebounds per game… Had five steals on the season… Went for a season-high seven points against San Francisco (12/29) to go along with three rebounds… Finished the season shooting 52.6 percent (10-19) from the field and 47.8 percent (11-23) from the free throw line… Was an academic all-Big West selection for the third consecutive season, and was also named by his teammates as the player that “Best Represents Utah State Basketball” for a third straight year.
 
2002-03 SEASON (JR): Played in 29 games off the bench as a junior, averaging 1.8 points and 2.1 rebounds in 9.9 minutes per game… Shot 42.9 percent from the field and 71.0 percent from the free throw line… Best offensive game of the season was against Whitman College as he scored seven points on 3-of-4 shooting… Had a season-high six rebounds at Cal State Fullerton… Voted by his team as the player that “Best Represents USU Basketball” for the second straight season… Also an academic all-Big West selection for the second straight year.
 
2001-02 SEASON (SO): Started the first 17 games of the season at the small forward position and played in all 31 games… Averaged 4.4 points and 3.4 rebounds on the season, but in the 17 games that he started he averaged 6.6 points and 5.2 rebounds… Best game of the season was at Utah when he scored a career-high 13 points to go along with five rebounds… Scored in double-figures four times during the season… Recorded a career-high 11 rebounds at Weber State and had 10 rebounds against Idaho State and Cal State Northridge… Shot 45 percent from the floor and 66.7 percent from the free throw line… Averaged 21.4 minutes per game… His 35 assists were third-best on the team and his 44 offensive rebounds were fourth-best… Voted by his team as the player that “Best Represents USU Basketball”… An academic all-Big West selection.
 
2000-01 SEASON (RS FR): Appeared in 17 games for the Aggies as a freshman, averaging 1.3 points and 0.8 rebounds per game… Scored a season-high five points against UC Riverside and played a season-high 14 minutes versus Montana Tech… Scored in eight games for USU… Shot 53.8 percent from the floor.
 
1999-2000 SEASON (RS): Redshirted his first year at Utah State.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a first-team all-state selection in 1997 after averaging 18 points and 10 rebounds per game… Was the region MVP as well as an all-area selection his senior year… Was named to the all-region team as a junior.
 
PERSONAL: Born Sept. 21, 1978 in Salt Lake City, Utah… Received his bachelor’s degree in Spanish in May, 2003 and is currently enrolled in the MBA program at Utah State… Son of Craig and Janet Evans… Has three older sisters… Hobbies include playing tennis and spending time with friends… Signed with USU in December of 1998… Originally signed with Loyola Marymount out of high school before going on a LDS Church mission to Argentina from 1997-99… Married the former Terri Neuman.
