Biography

1997-98 SEASON (SR): Was one of the team’s top reserves, playing in 25 games and averaging 17.7 minutes per contest off the bench after missing the first eight games of the year… Averaged 4.0 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game… Reached double-figure scoring totals three times, including a career-high 16 points at New Mexico State (1/31) as he shot a perfect 6-of-6 from the field and 4-of-4 from three-point range… Made starts at Idaho (2/19), at Boise State (2/21) and versus North Texas (2/28)… Finished the season shooting 39.5 percent (34-86) from the field, 33.3 percent (15-45) from three-point range and 77.3 percent (17-22) from the free throw line… Tied a career-high of four rebounds four times… Dished out a career-high five assists against Weber State (12/27).
 
1996-97 SEASON (JR): Was pulled out of what would have been a redshirt year for the final seven games of the season after guard Duane Rogers suffered a season-ending knee injury… Made an impact right away, recording eight points, four rebounds and three assists in his debut against UC Irvine on Feb. 13… Played at least 17 minutes in each of his seven appearances and made 13-of-25 (52.0 percent) of his three-point attempts… Averaged 8.1 points and 3.3 rebounds, while handing out seven assists and committing just five turnovers… Reached double-figures in three games with a high of 12 points at New Mexico State… Was named to the academic all-Big West team.
 
JUNIOR COLLEGE: Averaged 10 points, 4.5 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game at Snow Junior College in 1996.
 
PREVIOUS COLLEGE: Spent the 1993 season at Weber State where he earned academic all-Big Sky academic honors as a freshman… Played in 15 games and averaged 1.6 points per game… 13 of his 21 field goal attempts were three-pointers.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Named the Utah 3A Player of the Year after his senior year at Ogden High School… Was a two-time all-state selection and earned Converse All-America honors his senior year… Averaged 19 points, five rebounds and five assists, while shooting 51 percent from three-point range for a team which claimed back-to-back state titles in 1991 and 1992… Also lettered four years in tennis.
 
PERSONAL: Born June 22, 1974 in Ogden, Utah… Married to the former Kathryn Norton… Is majoring in political science with a certificate in international relations… Would like to get a MBA and work in international business after graduation… Served an LDS mission to Sao Palo, Brazil from 1993-95… Hobbies include playing tennis and golf as well as most sports.
