Indoor: Placed 16th in the prelims of the 60 meters (7.05) and 19th in the prelims of the 200 meters (22.51) at the Mountain West Indoor Championships… Finished second in the 4x400-meter relay with a personal-best time of 3:17.66 at the Boise State-hosted Ed Jacoby Invitational… Ran career-best time of 22.31 in the 200 meters at the Boise State-hosted Bronco Challenge, where he placed ninth in the prelims of the event… Earned academic all-MW and USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete honors.
Outdoor: Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
2019 (JR)
Indoor: Placed 12th in the prelims of the 200 meters (22.75) and 14th in the prelims of the 60 meters (7.17) at the Mountain West Indoor Championships… Recorded personal-best times of 6.97 in the 60 meters at the Montana State Dual Meet and 12:02.39 in the DMR at the Washington Invitational… Placed first in the 4x400-meter relay with a season-best time of 3:20.74 at the Boise State-hosted Bronco Invitational… Recorded seven top-10 finishes during the season.
Outdoor: Earned first-team all-Mountain West honors after placing third in the 4x100-meter relay with a personal-best time of 41.21 at the Outdoor Championships… Also placed fifth in the 4x400-meter relay (personal-best time of 3:18.57), 13th in the prelims of the 200 meters (22.62) and 14th in the prelims of the 100 meters (11.05) at the Outdoor Championships… Finished third in the 100 meters with a career-best time of 10.88 at the Weber State-hosted Twilight Meet… Ran career-best time of 22.25 in the 200 meters at the Long Beach State-hosted Beach Invitational… Earned academic all-MW accolades.

FOOTBALL
2017 (SO): Played in three games for Utah State… Only stats during the season came at San José State (9/23) as he had one reception for four yards and one carry for seven yards, all of which are career highs.

2016 (RS-FR): Played in nine games during the season… His only stats on the year came against Weber State (9/1) as he had one reception for zero yards... Earned academic all-Mountain West honors.

2015 (RS): Redshirted during his first season at Utah State.

HIGH SCHOOL: A three-time letterwinner in cross country and track & field at Logan (Utah) High School… Tabbed first-team allstate in track & field on one occasion... Won both the 100 meters (10.64) and 200 meters (21.66) at the Utah Class 4A outdoor track & field state championships as a junior... Also played football for the Grizzlies, earning Class 4A first-team all-state honors at wide receiver from the Deseret News and second-team all-state honors from the Salt Lake Tribune as a prep senior at Logan HS as he caught 50 passes for 909 yards (18.2 ypc/82.6 ypg) with 14 touchdowns... Also returned 11 kickoffs for 274 yards (24.9 ypr) and 12 punts for 193 yards (16.1 ypr)... Led the Grizzlies in scoring with 7.8 points per game with his 14 touchdown receptions and a two-point conversion... Helped Logan HS to a 10-1 record and the Region 5 Championship during his junior year as he caught 42 passes for 776 yards (18.5 ypc/64.7 ypg) with nine touchdowns... Had four 100-yard receiving games and caught a career-high eight passes for 137 yards against Roy HS... Was named to The Herald Journal All-Valley team as both a junior and senior.

PERSONAL: One of three children of Brian and Roline Artist... Last name is pronounced Are-tist... Majoring in communication studies.
