2024 (SR)
Indoor: Set a personal best in the mile with a time of 4:18.56 as he finished ninth at the Idaho State-hosted Mountain State Games… Won the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:35.14 at the Utah State-hosted Roman Ruiz Speed and Power Meet.
Outdoor: Set a personal best in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:18.27 as he finished second at the Utah State-hosted Aggie Invitational… Placed 16th in the mile with a personal-best time of 4:23.70 at the Weber State Spring Open... Earned academic all-MW honors.

2023 (SR)
Indoor: Named to the all-Mountain West team after finishing third in distance medley relay with a personal-best time of 9:44.03, which ranks third in school history, and third in the 800 meters with a personal-best time of 1:51.87, after advancing from preliminaries in fifth with a time of 1:53.60 at the MW Indoor Championships.
Outdoor: Finished seventh in the 800 meters with a time of 1:52.25, after advancing from preliminaries in seventh with a time of 1:53.89 at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships… Placed 82nd in the 800 meters with a season-best time of 1:51.41 at the Azusa Pacific-hosted Bryan Clay Invitational… Earned academic all-MW honors.

2022 (JR)
Indoor: Placed fourth in the DMR with a time of 9:53.81, which ranks seventh all-time in school history, at the Mountain West Indoor Championships, where he also finished fifth in the 800 meters with a career-best time of 1:51.97… Captured first place in the DMR with a career-best time of 9:52.76 – the sixth-fastest time in school history – at the Washington Invitational… Finished ninth in the 800 meters with a time of 1:53.39 at the Washington Invitational… Placed third in the 800 meters with a time of 1:52.47 at the New Mexico-hosted Don Kirby Elite Invitational… Opened the season with third-place finishes in both the 800 meters (1:56.57) and the 4x400-meter relay (3:29.34) at the BYU Invitational… Placed fifth in the 800 meters (1:55.36) and sixth in the 4x400-meter relay (3:26.40) at the Nebraska-hosted Mark Colligan Memorial.
Outdoor: Placed 11th in the prelims of the 800 meters with a time of 1:52.60 at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships… Recorded a season-best time of 1:51.08 in the 800 meters to place third at the Fresno State Invitational… Won the 800 meters with a time of 1:52.57 at the Utah State-hosted Aggie Invitational, where he also placed second in the 4x400-meter relay with a season-best time of 3:26.88… Opened the season by placing 13th in the 400 meters (51.58) and sixth in the 4x400-meter relay (3:26.95) at the Utah Valley Invitational... Earned Academic All-MW honors.

2021 (SO)
Indoor: Won the Air Force-hosted Championships at the Peak DMR with a personal-best time of 10:20.97.
Outdoor: Placed ninth in the 800 meters with a time of 1:54.55 at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships… Tabbed the MW Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week after winning the Fresno State-hosted West Coast Relays 800 meters with a career-best time of 1:50.65… Earned his first MW weekly honor of the season after winning the 800 meters with a then-personal-best time of 1:51.94 at the Montana-hosted Al Manuel Northwest Invitational… Also won the Utah State-hosted Aggie Invitational 800 meters with a time of 1:51.63)… Finished third in the 4x400-meter relay with a personal-best time of 3:24.16 at the Al Manuel Northwest Invite… Placed fifth in the DMR with a career-best time of 9:45.66 at the Drake Relays… Competed in the 400 meters at one meet, placing 10th with a career-best time of 49.89 at the Utah Valley Collegiate Invitational… Earned academic all-MW honors.

Indoor: Did not compete during the season.
Outdoor: Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

HIGH SCHOOL: A five-time letterwinner in cross country and track & field at Skyridge High School in Lehi, Utah… Placed third in the 800-meter run at the 4A state championships as a junior in 2016… Posted a career-best time of 1:54 in the 800… Graduated from Skyridge HS with a 3.7 GPA.

PERSONAL: Son of Earl and Tara Kauffman… Has six sisters and one brother… Served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Philippines from 2017-19… Majoring in kinesiology.
