Cross Country (2019): Placed 167th with a time of 33:02.5 at the NCAA National Championships, where the Aggies finished 16th as a team… Was the first Utah State runner to cross the finish line at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships, garnering all-region accolades in the process by placing 16th with a time of 30:53.0… Became the first Aggie to ever capture the individual title at the Mountain West Championships as he crossed the finish line in a championship-record time of  21:14.2… Tabbed the MW Men’s Student-Athlete of the Year… Garnered first-team all-MW accolades after helping the Aggies capture their first-ever MW title with 42 team points… Made his Utah State debut at the Montana State Cross Country Classic, where he placed 15th with a time of 25:47.1… Finished eighth with a time of 23:38.6 to help lead Utah State to its third-straight team title at the Lehigh-hosted Paul Short Run… Placed 55th with a time of 24:20.5 at the Wisconsin-hosted Nuttycombe Invitational... Earned academic all-MW honors.
Indoor: Earned first-team all-Mountain West honors after placing third in the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:13.13 at the Indoor Championships, the only meet he competed after missing the majority of the season due to injury… Earned USTFCCCA All-Academic, academic all-MW and USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete honors.
Outdoor: Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Competed on the cross country and track & field teams at BYU, where he recorded personal-best times of 3:47 in the 1,500-meter run, 8:12 in the 3,000-meter run, 13:53 in the 5,000-kilometer race and 29:25 in the 10,000-kilometer race… Ran a personal-best 7k time of 21:14.8 at the 2018 Steve T. Reeder Memorial, finishing second overall… Placed 74th as a freshman with a time of 30:45.2 in the 10k race at the 2015 NCAA Cross Country Championships… Also placed ninth with a time of 30:08.78 and third with a time of 24:49.4 at the 2015 NCAA Mountain Region Championships and the West Coast Conference Championships, respectively… Cross Country team placed 11th, seventh, third and second at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships from 2015-18, respectively.

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-time letterwinner in track & field and cross country at Highland High School in Pocatello, Idaho… A five-time state champion, a three-time All-American in track & field, a two-time All-American in cross country, a 10-time region and district champion, and an 11-time all-state recipient at Highland HS… Named a Foot Locker All-American, a two-time New Balance Indoor All-American and a New Balance Outdoor All-American at Highland HS… Recorded personal-best times of 4:13 (1,600 meters), 8:35 (3,200 meters) and 14:37 (5,000 meters) during his senior year in 2012… Member of the National Honor Society (2008-12) and was an Eagle Scout.

PERSONAL: One of four children of Tracy and Michelle Farnsworth… His older brother, Taylor, ran at BYU, while his dad and both grandfathers attended BYU… Graduated from BYU with a degree in human resource management and is now in the MBA program at Utah State.
