Cross Country (2024): Finished 31st at the Utah State Alumni Challenge with a 7K time of 21:38.91… Took 45th at the BYU Autumn Classic with a four-mile time of 21:23.26… Placed eighth at the Utah State-hosted Steve T. Reeder Memorial Invitational with a 7K time of 21:44.68, helping the Aggies to a team title.
Indoor: Finished 22nd in the 5,000 meters and 32nd in the 3,000 meters at the Mountain West Indoor Championships with respective times of 15:17.00 and 8:42.25… Part of USU’s winning DMR team at the Idaho State-hosted Mountain States Games, finishing in a personal-best time of 10:04.89… Set a personal best in the 5,000 meters with a time of 13:59.35 as he placed second in his section at the Washington Invitational.
Outdoor: Placed 11th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and 21st in the 5,000 meters at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships, finishing in 9:15.60 and a personal-best 14:33.28, respectively… Set a personal best in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:03.02 as he placed fifth at the San Francisco State-hosted Mike Fanelli Track Classic.

Indoor: Placed 20th in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:32.97 at the Mountain West Indoor Championships… Finished eighth in the 5,000 meters with a season-best time of 14:14.21, which ranks ninth in school history, at the Washington Invitational… Set a career best in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:31.73 as he took fifth at the Idaho State-hosted Snake River Open… Set a personal best in the mile with a time of 4:09.33 as he placed 53rd at the Washington-hosted Husky Classic.
Outdoor: Finished 10th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:24.46 at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships… Won the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a season-best time of 9:11.00 at the Long Beach State-hosted Pacific Coast Invitational… Set a season best in the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:34.74 as he finished 33rd at the San Francisco State-hosted Mike Fanelli Track Classic… Placed second in the 1,500 meters with a personal-best time of 3:54.72 at the Long Beach State-hosted Beach Invitational.

HIGH SCHOOL: The 2020 and 2021 East Idaho Athlete of the Year at Salmon (Idaho) High School… Named all-state first team cross country in 2019 and 2020, helping Salmon HS to three state championships (2018-2020) and a runner-up finish in 2017… The 2019 state champion in the 3,200 meters and 1,600 meters… Named the 2019 MVP and 2021 Most Inspiring Athlete for Salmon HS track & field and cross country… Graduated first in his class of 54… An Idaho Class 2A Interscholastic Star.

PERSONAL: Son of Jim and Colleen Simmons… Has nine siblings… Served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Quito, Ecuador in 2021-2023… Majoring in marketing.
