Cross Country (2024): Placed 11th at the Utah State Alumni Challenge with a 7K time of 21:08.51… Finished 39th at the UC Riverside Invitational with an 8K time of 24:09.6… Took third at the Utah State-hosted Steve T. Reeder Memorial Invitational with a 7K time of 21:29.56, leading the Aggies to a team title… Placed 15th in the open race at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals with an 8K time of 24:24.4… Finished 36th at the Mountain West Championships with an 8K time of 25:36.2, helping Utah State finish sixth… Earned Mountain West Men’s Cross Country Athlete and Freshman of the Week honors on October 15.
Indoor: Placed 14th in the mile prelims and 29th in the 3,000 meters at the Mountain West Indoor Championships with times of 4:15.41 and 8:32.93, respectively… Set a personal best in the mile with a time of 4:05.59, as he placed 109th at the Boston University-hosted Valentine Invitational.
Outdoor: Finished seventh in the 1,500 meters at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships with a time of 3:47.01… Set a personal best in the outdoor mile with a time of 4:08.60 as he placed 15th at the BYU-hosted Robison Invitational… Won the 1,500 meters at the San Francisco State-hosted Mike Fanelli Track Classic with a personal-best time of 3:44.76.

2024 (FR)
Indoor: Set a season best in the mile with a time of 4:16.10 as he placed third at the Weber State Invitational… Finished second in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:29.95 at the Idaho State-hosted Snake River Open.
Outdoor: Did not compete during the outdoor season.

HIGH SCHOOL: An eight-time letterwinner in cross country and track & field at Hurricane HS in Hurricane, Utah… Was the 2020 Utah Class 4A cross country individual state champion (three mile, 15:24.5), helping Hurricane to a third-place finish… Was the 2021 Utah Class 4A track & field state champion in 800 meters (1:54.98) and 1,600 meters (4:15.38), while also placing third in the 3,200 meters (9:38.55)… At the 2019 state track & field meet, placed second in the 800 meters and third in the 3,200 meters… At state cross country meets, finished sixth in 2017, sixth in 2018 and eighth in 2019… A four-year letterwinner in wrestling at Hurricane HS as he went undefeated (36-0) his senior season and had a 171-18 overall record, claiming individual state championships in 2020 and 2021, while taking third in 2019 and second in 2018… Academic all-state in cross country, track & field and wrestling all four years… Graduated first in his class of approximately 350.

PERSONAL: Son of Phillip and Paula Armstrong… Has seven siblings… Married Madelyn Armstrong in May 2024… Served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Madrid, Spain from 2021-2023… Brother, Caleb Armstrong, is a member of USU’s cross country and track & field programs… Majoring in healthcare management.
