Indoor: Placed 20th in the prelims of the 800 meters with a career-best time of 2:18.37 at the Mountain West Indoor Championships… Finished second in the DMR with a time of 12:15.48 at the Boise State-hosted Ed Jacoby Invitational… Ran career-best time of 11:56.28 in the DMR at the Washington Invitational, placing seventh… Finished fourth in the 4x400-meter relay with a career-best time of 4:09.60 at the BYU Indoor Invitational... Earned academic all-MW and USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete honors.
Outdoor: Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

HIGH SCHOOL: An eight-time letterwinner in track & field and cross country at Mountain View High School in Mesa, Ariz… Named the Toros’ Most Valuable Senior for track & field in 2019, as well as the school’s Outstanding Female Athlete… Earned first-team all-state honors in cross country as a senior… Took sixth place individually at the 6A state cross country championships with a time of 18:25.1… Posted career-best times of 2:20.15 in the 800 meters, 5:11.42 in the 1,600 meters, 11:42.07 in the 3,200 meter and 18:24.1 in the 5K… Also played soccer for three years and helped the Toros to undefeated seasons in 2017 and 2018… Graduated high school with a 3.82 GPA… Was a member of the National Honor Society.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Chet and Kristin Welch… Has six younger siblings… Majoring in animal, dairy and veterinary sciences.
