HONORS: First-Team All-Mountain West Indoor: Shot Put (2019, 2020); First-Team All-Mountain West Outdoor: Javelin (2018, 2021), Shot Put (2019); Mountain West Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week (3/20/19); Academic All-Mountain West (2021).

INDOOR RECORDS: Ranks fifth all-time in USU history in the shot put with a mark of 18.38 meters (60-3.75) set in 2019.

OUTDOOR RECORDS: Ranks third all-time in USU history in the javelin with a mark of 70.23 meters (230-5) and eighth all-time in the shot put with a heave of 18.19 meters (59-8.25), both of which were set in 2021.

2021 (FIFTH YEAR)
Indoor: Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Outdoor: Placed 34th in the first round of the javelin (59.97 meters/196-9) and 36th in the first round of the shot put (16.99 meters/55-9) at the NCAA West Preliminary Championships… Garnered first-team all-Mountain West honors after placing first in the javelin with a heave of 65.36 meters (214-5)… Also competed in the shot put at the Outdoor Championships, but fouled on all three attempts… Won the Utah State-hosted Aggie Invitational javelin with a throw of 70.23 meters (230-5), which ranks third all-time in school history… Opened the season by winning the shot put with a career-best heave of 18.19 meters (59-8.25), which ranks eighth all-time in school history, at the UNLV Spring Invitational & Sheila Tarr-Smith Multis… Also captured shot put titles at the BYU-hosted Robison Invitational (17.38 meters/57-0.25) and Utah State-hosted Aggie Invitational (17.22 meters/56-6)… Finished first in the javelin with a distance of 59.93 meters (196-7) at the Oklahoma-hosted Sooner Invitational & Multis… Earned academic all-MW honors.

2020 (SR)
Indoor: Earned first-team all-Mountain West accolades after placing second in the shot put with a mark of 17.32 meters (56-10.00) at the Indoor Championships, where he also placed sixth in the weight throw with a heave of 16.90 meters (55-5.50)… Captured the shot put title with a season-best mark of 18.19 meters (59-8.25) at the Boise State-hosted Jackson’s/Nike Boise Indoor Invitational… Placed first in the weight throw with a mark of 16.14 meters (52-11.50) at the BYU Indoor Invitational… Placed in the top eight in the shot put at all seven meets he competed at… Also recorded a trio of top-seven finishes in the weight throw.
Outdoor: Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2019 (JR)
Indoor: Garnered first-team all-Mountain West honors after placing first in the shot put with a career-best heave of 18.38 meters (60-3.75), which ranks fifth all-time in school history, at the Indoor Championships… Placed 10th in the weight throw with a mark of 16.49 meters (54-1.25) at the Indoor Championships… Recorded career-best mark of 17.40 meters (57-1.00) in the weight throw at the New Mexico-hosted Don Kirby Invitational… Placed in the top five in the shot put at all six meets he competed at… Captured weight throw title with a mark of 16.22 meters (53-2.75) at the Boise State-hosted Bronco Invitational.
Outdoor: Placed 26th in the javelin (63.44 meters/169-4) and 29th in the shot put (18.14 meters/59-6.25) at the NCAA Outdoor West Prelims… Earned first-team all-Mountain West honors after placing second in the shot put with a mark of 17.77 meters (58-3.75) at the Outdoor Championships, where he also finished fifth in the javelin with a throw of 62.67 meters (205-7)… Tabbed the MW Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week after capturing both the javelin (68.41 meters/224-5) and shot put (18.11 meters/59-5) titles at the UC Irvine-hosted Collegiate Classic… Also placed first in the javelin with a mark of 61.90 meters (203-1) at the Utah State-hosted Aggie Invitational… Recorded eight top-10 finishes.

2018 (SO)
Indoor: Placed sixth in the shot put with a mark of 16.25 meters (53-3.75) and eighth in the weight throw with a season-best mark of 16.95 meters (55-7.50) at the Mountain West Indoor Championships… Best finish of the season in the shot put came at the Boise State-hosted Jackson’s/Nike Boise Indoor Invite, where he placed third with a mark of 16.22 meters (53-2.75)… Highest finish in the weight throw was fourth at the Montana State Dual Meet with a mark of 15.76 meters (51-8.50).
Outdoor: Placed 46th in the first round of the javelin with a mark of 56.64 meters (185-10) at the NCAA West Preliminary Championships… Earned first-team all-Mountain West honors after placing third in the javelin with a throw of 62.01 meters (203-5) at the Outdoor Championships… Also placed ninth in the shot put with a heave of 16.08 meters (52-9.25) at the Outdoor Championships… Captured second place in the javelin with a season-best throw of 64.97 meters (213-2) at the Utah State-hosted Mark Faldmo Invitational… Placed third in both the shot put (16.72 meters/54-10.25) and javelin (59.96 meters/196-9) at the UC Irvine-hosted Spring Collegiate Classic.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Was a thrower for the Montana Grizzlies, recording then-collegiate bests in the shot put with marks of 16.96 meters (55-7.75) and 16.58 meters (54-5) during the indoor and outdoor seasons, respectively… Also threw career-best of 49.78 meters (163-4) in the hammer, and a season-best  of 61.64 meters (202-3) in the javelin.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a two-year letterwinner at Century High School in Hillsboro, Oregon… Won the 2016 state shot put title and garnered second-team all-state honors in the javelin… Earned first-team all-league in the shot put, discus and javelin… During his senior season, recorded personal bests in the shot put (59-2), discus (163-3) and javelin (194-8)… Also a three-year letterwinner in football, starting for two seasons… Earned second-team all-league honors as an offensive lineman.

PERSONAL: One of three children on of Todd and LaTrease Morris… Majoring in sociology.
