2026 (SR)
Indoor: Placed 14th in the pole vault at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships with a jump of 5.40 meters (17-8.5), earning Second-Team All-American honors… All-Mountain West honoree in the pole vault… Claimed his third-straight indoor pole vault title at the MW Indoor Championships with a clearance of 5.50 meters (18-0.5)…  Broke his own Utah State indoor pole vault record with a clearance of 5.63 meters (18-5.5) as he bested the field at the season-opening BYU December Invitational, winning MW Men’s Field Athlete of the Week on December 16, 2025… Won the pole vault title at the Utah State-hosted Roman Ruiz Speed and Power Invitational with a jump of 5.58 meters (18-3.75)… Placed 10th overall and best among collegiate vaulters at the National Pole Vault Summit with a height of 5.60 meters (18-4).

Indoor: Finished sixth in the pole vault at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships with a clearance of 5.61 meters (18-4.75), earning First-Team All-American honors… Won his second-straight indoor pole vault title at the Mountain West Indoor Championships with a height of 5.52 meters (18-1.25) and was selected to the All-MW team… Set the Utah State indoor pole vault record with a clearance of 5.61 meters (18-4.75), placing second at the Arkansas-hosted Tyson Invitational… Won the pole vault title at the Utah State-hosted Roman Ruiz Speed and Power Invitational with a school- and facility-record height of 5.60 meters (18-4.5)… Broke the Utah State and facility records in the pole vault at the Idaho State-hosted Snake River Open with a height of 5.55 meters (18-2.5)… Claimed the USU indoor pole vault record by clearing 5.50 meters (18-0.5), winning the Cougar Indoor Invitational… Took first in the pole vault at the BYU December Invitational with a jump of 5.37 meters (17-7.5)… Recieved MW Men’s Field Athlete of the Week recognition in back-to-back weeks on January 14 and 21, respectively.

Indoor: Won the pole vault title and was named All-Mountain West in the pole vault, clearing 5.06 meters (16-7.25) at the MW Indoor Championships… Set a season best in the pole vault, clearing 5.42 meters (17-9.25), as he won the Arkansas-hosted Tyson Invitational… Won the pole vault at the Utah State-hosted Roman Ruiz Speed and Power Meet (5.37 meters (17-7.25)), Weber State Invitational (5.20 meters (17-0.75)) and Idaho State-hosted Snake River Open (5.20 meters (17-0.75))… Named MW Men’s Field Athlete of the Week two weeks in a row (2/6 and 2/13).
Outdoor: Earned Second-Team All-American honors as he finished 16th in the pole vault with a clearance of 5.22 meters (17-1.5) at the NCAA Outdoor Championships… Named All-Mountain West in the pole vault… Won gold as he set the Utah State, meet and all-time MW records in the pole vault with a clearance of 5.62 meters (18-5.25) at the MW Outdoor Championships… Qualified for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for the 2024 Paris Olympics in the men’s pole vault where he tied for 20th with a clearance of 5.40 meters (17-8.5)… Previously set the Utah State record in the pole vault with a clearance of 5.53 meters as he won the title at the BYU-hosted Robison Invitational, securing the MW Men’s Field Athlete of the Week award on April 30… Won titles in the pole vault at the Arizona Spring Break Fiesta (5.20 meters, 17-0.75), Stanford Invitational (5.32 meters, 17-5.5), Utah State-hosted Aggie Invitational (5.26 meters, 17-3), BYU-hosted Robison Invitational (5.53-meters, 18-1.75) and MW Outdoor Championships… Earned Academic All-MW recognition… MW Scholar-Athlete… USU Whitesides Scholar-Athlete… Academic All-MW honoree… MW Scholar-Athlete… USU Whitesides Scholar-Athlete.

Indoor: Finished fourth in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.95 meters (16-2.75) at the Mountain West Indoor Championships… Set a season best in the pole vault with a mark of 5.10 meters (16-8.75), as he won the event at the Utah State-hosted Speed and Power Meet… Won the pole vault at the Nebraska-hosted Mark Colligan Memorial (4.77 meters, 15-7.75) and Idaho State-hosted Stacy Dragila Invitational (5.05 meters, 16-6.75)… Earned MW Men’s Freshman of the Week honors on January 31.
Outdoor: Finished 14th in the pole vault with a season-best clearance of 5.30 meters (17-4.5), at the NCAA West First Rounds… Won gold in the pole vault with a mark of 5.25 meters (17-2.75) at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships, Earning All-MW honors… Earned Academic All-MW honors… USU Whitesides Scholar-Athlete.

HIGH SCHOOL: Competed in track & field at Columbia High School in Nampa, Idaho… Two-time All-State finisher in the pole vault… Recorded a personal-best mark of 4.87 meters in the lone meet of his senior season before the remainder of the year was canceled due to COVID-19… Placed third in the 2019 IHSAA 4A/5A Championships with a mark of 14-6…  Ran in the 400 meters, 800 meters, 1,600 meters and multiple relays across his high school career… Competed in cross country and basketball at Columbia HS… Placed 43rd at the 4A District III Cross Country Championships in 2019… Competed in the pole vault at the club level for Dragila Vault Co under coach Stacy Dragila.

PERSONAL: Son of Jason and Stephanie Hammer… Has five brothers and sisters… Brother, Ethan, is a member of the Utah State track & field team… Married Emilee Hammer in June 2024… Served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Quito, Ecuador from July 2020 through June 2022… Majoring in veterinary science… Pursuing a career as a veterinarian.
