Outdoor: Recorded career-best marks of 12.53 meters (41-1.5) in the shot put at the Utah State-hosted Mark Faldmo Invitational and 47.5 meters (154-8.25) in the hammer at the Utah Valley Invitational… Earned USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete accolades.

2017 (SO)
Indoor: Recorded season-best marks of 11.55 meters (37-10.75) in the shot put and 14.80 meters (48-6.75) in the weight throw at the Montana State Invitational.
Outdoor: Did not compete during the season.

PREVOUS SCHOOL: Competed in track & field at Dickinson State University… Placed fourth in the discus at the Northstar Conference Championships… Led the Bluehawks to third-and second-place finishes at the indoor and outdoor championships, respectively… Recorded track & field bests of 36.15 meters (119-9) in the hammer throw, 12.46 meters (40-10.50) in the weight throw, 36.21 meters (118-9) in the discus and 12.01 meters (39-5) in the shot put.

HIGH SCHOOL: A six-time letterwinner in tack & field, volleyball and basketball at Minico High School in Rupert, Idaho… State runner-up in the shot put and discus… Three-time all-state selection in track & field… Recorded track & field bests of 11.19m (36-8.75) in the shot put and 37m (121-5) in the discus.

PERSONAL: One of three children of Scott and Mindy Vail… Majoring in human movement science.
