INDOOR RECORDS: Ranks ninth all-time in USU history in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:13.49, set in 2020.

2022 (JR)
Indoor: Set a career-best time of 7.16 to place second in the 60 meters at the Utah State-hosted Speed and Power Meet… Placed fourth in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:24.21 at the Idaho State-hosted Stacy Dragila Invitational, where he also finished 12th in the 400 meters with a time of 52.20… Placed fifth in the 200 meters with a time of 23.03 at the Idaho State-hosted Mountain State Games… Opened the season with a sixth-place finish and time of 7.19 in the 60 meters at the BYU Invitational.
Outdoor: Placed fifth with a time of 3:17.36 in the 4x400-meter relay at the Arizona-hosted Willie Williams Classic… Finished 19th in the 200 meters with a time of 22.91 at the BYU-hosted Robison Invitational... Earned Academic All-MW honors and was also named a MW Scholar-Athlete and a Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete.

2021 (SO)
Indoor: Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Outdoor: Competed in three meets during the season with his best finish coming at the Weber State Twilight Meet, where he placed sixth in the 400 meters with a time of 50.92… Ran career-best time of 50.73 in the 400 meters at the UNLV Spring Invitational & Sheila Tarr-Smith Multis, placing eighth in the event… Finished 14th in the prelims of the 200 meters with a personal-best time of 22.55 at the Utah Valley Collegiate Invitational… Earned academic all-Mountain West and MW Scholar-Athlete honors.

2020 (FR)
Indoor: Earned first-team all-Mountain West honors after placing third in the 4x400-meter relay with a personal-best time of 3:13.49, which ranks ninth all-time in school history, at the Indoor Championships… Also placed seventh in the DMR with a career-best time of 10:06.27 at the Indoor Championships… Placed first in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:17.52 at the Washington Invitational, where he also ran a personal-best time of 49.93 in the 400 meters… Set career-best time of 22.83 in the 200 meters at the New Mexico-hosted Don Kirby Elite Invitational... Earned academic all-Mountain West honors.

HIGH SCHOOL: A three-time letterwinner at Syracuse (Utah) High School… Helped the Titans to a 6A team state championship as a senior in 2019… Holds the Utah boys 6A all-time state record in the 400-meter dash with a personal-best time of 47.63… Was a six-time individual state champion, and earned all-state honors 11 times… Also earned 11 region championships and was named all-region 12 times… Has personal-best marks of 10.72 in the 100 meters, 21.73 in the 200 meters… Graduated from Syracuse HS with honors, finishing with a 3.8 GPA and earning the Aggie Merit scholarship… Member of the National Honor Society.
 
PERSONAL: Son of Samuel and Kimberly Kaufusi… Has three siblings… Cousins Bronson and Corbin Kaufusi play for the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers, and another cousin, Isaiah Kaufusi, signed a free agent deal with the Indianapolis Colts following his five-year career at BYU... Married USU soccer player Kelsey Steed in July of 2021… Majoring in law & constitutional studies.
