Indoor: Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Outdoor: Competed in three events during the season… Finished fourth in the 400-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 56.69 at the Utah State-hosted Aggie Invitational… Placed eighth in the 4x400-meter relay with a career-best time of 3:22.39… Finished 14th in the prelims of the 200 meters with a personal-best time of 22.72 at the Idaho State-hosted Bengal Invitational… Best finish of the season came at the Weber State Twilight Meet, where he placed third in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 567.04… Earned academic all-Mountain West and MW Scholar-Athlete accolades.

Indoor: Competed at two meets during the season, placing 12th in the 400 meters with a personal-best time of 51.43 at the Boise State-hosted Ed Jacoby Invitational, and 14th in the prelims of the 200 meters with a career-best time of 22.60 at the Boise State-hosted Jackson’s/Nike Boise Indoor Invitational… Earned academic all-Mountain West honors.

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-time letterwinner in track & field at Lone Peak High School in Highland, Utah… Placed first at the 2019 USATF National Youth Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a time of 22.20 in the 200-meter dash… Helped the Knights earn the school’s first-ever region championship in boys track & field as a senior… Has career-best times of 11.20 in the 100 meters, 21.80 in the 200 meters and 38.80 in the 300-meter hurdles… Also ran with the Lone Peak Track Club from 2009-19 under his father and coach Derek Ellis, where he competed at Youth Nationals and Junior Olympics eight times… Also played football for the Knights… … Graduated from Lone Peak HS with a GPA of 3.94, earning High Honor Roll honors, as well as the Regents Scholarship and Residents Scholarship.

PERSONAL: One of four children of Derek and Michelle Ellis… Brother, Blake, is on the track & field team at BYU, and sister, Emily, competes in track & field at Nebraska … Majoring in biological engineering.
