Indoor: Set a personal best in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:36.02 as he placed 13th at the New Mexico-hosted Don Kirby Invitational… Finished ninth in the mile with a personal-best time of 4:13.98 at the Nebraska-hosted Mark Colligan Memorial.
Outdoor: Set a personal best in the 1,500 meters with a time of 3:58.34 as he placed 14th at the Fresno State Invitational… Set a personal best in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:34.70 as he finished 25th at the San Francisco State-hosted Mike Fanelli Track Classic… Earned academic all-Mountain West and MW Scholar-Athlete honors. 

2020 (FR)
Cross Country (2019): Recorded a pair of top-10 finishes to lead Utah State to team titles at both the Utah Open and USU-hosted Steve T. Reeder Memorial, where he placed eighth (20:30.1) and 10th (22:40.47), respectively… Captured 13th with a time of 22:40.30 at the Utah State-hosted Sagebrush Invitational… Placed 28th with a time of 26:26.2 at the Montana State Cross Country Classic.
Indoor: Competed in the mile at two meets with his best finish coming at the Boise State-hosted Jackson’s/Nike Boise Indoor Invitational, where he placed ninth with a time of 4:29.34… Ran career-best time of 4:21.70 in the mile at the Boise State-hosted Bronco Challenge to place 10th… Earned academic all-Mountain West and USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete honors.
Outdoor: Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

HIGH SCHOOL: Competed in track & field and cross country at Madison High School in Rexburg, Idaho… Placed third at the state track & field championships in both the 1,600 and 3,200 meters with times of 4:20 and 9:24, respectively, as a senior… Was the district champion in both events that same year… Led the Bobcats to a third-place finish at the state cross country championships as he placed second overall with a personal-best time of 15:15 during senior season… Was a three-time state cross country medalist and four-time participant… Led Madison HS to district title three straight years… Helped the Bobcats to a fourth-place finish at state as a sophomore… Member of the National Honor Society.

PERSONAL: One of seven children of Doug and Keysha Stutz… Older brother, Jon, was a member of Utah State’s track & field/cross country teams for one year… Majoring in mechanical engineering.
