Cross Country (2021): Placed 13th with a time of 20:01.0 at the season-opening Utah State-hosted Sagebrush Invitational… Recorded a time of 18:19.9 and a 38th-place finish at the Montana State Invitational… Fin­ished fifth with a time of 22:44.0 to help the Aggies to a first-place finish at the Idaho State Invitational… Placed 14th with a time of 19:40.5 at the Utah State-hosted Steve T. Reeder Memorial Invitational… Helped the Aggies to a first-place finish at the Utah Open by placing with a time of 19:29.5... Earned Academic All-MW honors and was also named a MW Scholar-Athlete.
Indoor: Set a career-best time of 5:16.08 in the mile to place 10th at the Idaho State-hosted Mountain State Games… Ran a personal-best time of 10:33.73 in the 3,000 meters to place 11th at the Idaho State-hosted Stacy Dragila Invitational… Opened the season with a seventh-place finish and time of 5:19.02 in the mile at the BYU Invitational… Placed ninth in the mile with a time of 5:18.84 at the Utah State-hosted Speed and Power Meet.
Outdoor: Placed eighth in the mile with a career-best time of 5:09.53 at the BYU-hosted Robison Invitational… Finished 10th in the 1,500 meters with a personal-best time of 4:45.14 at the Idaho State-hosted Bengal Invitational, where she also placed 11th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:20.17… Ran a career-best time of 2:19.34 in the 800 meters to place 10th at the Utah Valley Invitational, where she also finished 10th in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:53.17… Best finish of the season was at the Utah State-hosted Aggie Invitational, where she placed sixth in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:46.61... Earned Academic All-MW honors and was also named a MW Scholar-Athlete and a Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete.

2021 (SO)
Cross Country (2020): Did not compete during the season… Earned academic all-Mountain West and MW Scholar-Athlete honors.
Indoor: Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Outdoor: Finished fifth in the 800 meters with a career-best time of 2:21.52 at the Utah State-hosted Aggie Invitational… Recorded personal-best times of 5:23.90 in the mile and 4:08.19 in the 4x400-meter relay to place 25th and 12th, respectively, at the BYU-hosted Robison Invitational… Placed eighth in the 1,500 meters with a career-best time of 4:52.83 at the Weber State Twilight Meet… Earned academic all-Mountain West and MW Scholar-Athlete honors.

2020 (FR)
Cross Country (2019): Recorded three top-20 finishes on the season, placing fifth (18:55.94) at the Utah State-hosted Steve T. Reeder Memorial, seventh (19:05.9) at the USU-hosted Sagebrush Invitational and 12th (19:45.8) at the Utah Open… Finished 26th with a time of 18:25.60 at the Montana State Cross Country Classic.
Indoor: Competed in the mile at one meet, placing 14th with a season-best time of 5:27.09 at the BYU Indoor Invitational... Earned academic all-Mountain West honors.
Outdoor: Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

HIGH SCHOOL: A three-time letterwinner in track & field and cross country at Lone Peak High School in Highland, Utah… Placed 10th in the UHSAA 6A state championships in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:20.67… Also ran a personal-best time of 2:19.98 in the 800-meter run and a program-best time of 5:19.41 in the 1,600-meter run… Member of the National Honor Society and earned an Olene Walker and Regents Scholarship… Also played lacrosse at Lone Peak HS.

PERSONAL: One of eight children of Kelli Smart… Her mom was a sprinter at BYU… Majoring in outdoor product design & development.
