2018 (SR)
Cross Country (2017): Placed 212th at the NCAA National Cross Country Championship with a time of 21:44.88… Earned all-region honors by placing 19th at the NCAA Mountain Regional Championships with a time of 20:39.0… Earned second-team all-Mountain West honors by finishing 10th at the league championships with a time of 21:19.67 for her best finish of the year… Raced in three other competitions during the year and was among USU’s top-three finishers twice… Earned academic all-MW, MW Scholar-Athlete honors and USTFCCCA All-Academic accolades.
Indoor: Placed sixth in the mile with a time of 4:51.58 at the Mountain West Indoor Championships… Set career-best times of 3:02.02 in the 1,000 meters and 12:02.25 in the DMR, finishing first in the event in the process, at the Boise State-hosted Ed Jacoby Invitational.
Outdoor: Finished 34th in the first round of the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:28.98 at the NCAA West Preliminary Championships… Garnered first-team all-Mountain West honors after placing third in the 1,500 meters with a school-record time of 4:23.99… Also set the school record in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:33.02 at the UC Irvine-hosted Spring Collegiate Classic, where she placed first in the event… Also finished first in the 800 meters with a personal-best time of 2:12.69 at the Utah State-hosted Mark Faldmo Invitational, where she also set a career-best time of 3:58.09 in the 4x400-meter relay … Recorded eight top-10 finishes… Garnered first-team Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-District, USTFCCCA All-Academic, academic all-MW, MW Scholar-Athlete and USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete honors.

2017 (JR)
Cross Country (2016): Finished 90th with a time of 22:24.10 at the NCAA Mountain Regional Championships… Placed 56th with a time of 22:15.30 at the Mountain West Championships… Competed in six meets during the season with her best finish coming at the Utah State-hosted Sagebrush Invitational, where she placed 15th with a time of 18:23.95… Earned academic all-MW and MW Scholar-Athlete honors.
Indoor: Placed fourth in the mile with a time of 4:55.71 at the Mountain West Indoor Championships.
Outdoor: Placed 23rd in the first round of the 1,500 meters (4:31.56) at the NCAA West Preliminary Championships… Earned first-team all-Mountain West honors after placing third in the 1,500 meters (4:27.23) at the Outdoor Championships… Recorded season-best time of 4:24.51 in the 1,500 meters at the Stanford-hosted Cardinal Classic… Set season-best time of 2:13.13 in the 800 meters at the Utah Valley Invitational… Earned academic all-MW, MW Scholar-Athlete and USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete honors.

Cross Country (2015): Competed in just one meet during the season, finishing 46th with a time of 19:05.78 at the Montana State Invitational... Earned Mountain West Scholar-Athlete honors.
Indoor: Redshirted during the season.
Outdoor: Placed first in the 800 meters with a time of 2:18.79 at the Utah State-hosted Mark Faldmo Invitational… Finished fifth in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:37.34 at the UC Irvine Anteater Invitational… Garnered academic all-Mountain West, MW Scholar-Athlete and USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete accolades.

2013 (FR) 
Cross Country (2012): Finished 64th at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships… Garnered first-team all-Western Athletic Conference honors after placing fifth (17:39.56) at the Cross Country Championships… Competed in five meets and recorded two top-five finishes... Placed 10th at the Utah State-hosted Aggie Invitational with a time of 18:10.68.
Indoor: Named first-team all-Western Athletic Conference after placing second in the distance medley relay and again after finishing third in the mile at the Indoor Championships... Finished 18th in the 3,000 meters at the Indoor Championships.
Outdoor: Earned first-team all-Western Athletic Conference honors after placing second in the 1,500 meters (4:27.75) at the Outdoor Championships… Placed sixth in the 1,500 meters at the Stanford Invite with a time of 4:26.51.

HIGH SCHOOL: An eight-time letterwinner in cross country and track & field at West Jefferson High School in Terreton, Idaho… Won individual state titles in the 1,600 meters and 3,200 meters in 2009, as well as the 800 meters, 1,600 meters and 3,200 meters in 2012… Member of the third-place team at the state cross country championships in 2009.

PERSONAL: Second-oldest of five children of Lewis and Dana Newman… Served an LDS Church Mission in Jackson, Miss., from 2013- 2014… Majoring in special education.
