CLUB/HIGH SCHOOL--Johnson qualified for Junior Olympic Nationals in 2002 and 2003. In 2002 she won the vault title and finished third in the all-around at the Level 9 Regionals. In 2003 Johnson placed third on bars, floor and the all-around at the Level 10 Regionals. In addition to being the 2004 Region 3 bronze medalist on floor, she finished 14th in the all-around at Nationals. She was a member of Kurt Thomas Gymnastics from 1998-2005 where former Olympian and World Champion Kurt Thomas  coached her. She is one of four new freshmen.

 PERSONAL--A nutrition science major. Daughter of Anne and Terry Johnson. Has one younger sister.
