Jeremiah Sievers

Jeremiah Sievers

Jeremiah Sievers joined student-athlete academic services as an academic coordinator in February 2019. Sievers came to Utah State after spending a year and a half at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln working as an assistant academic counselor with multiple teams.

In his current position, Jeremiah provides academic oversight to the gymnastics, soccer and men’s basketball teams. His responsibilities include daily monitoring of student-athlete grades, processing of NCAA initial and continuing eligibility, and communication with coaches regarding their teams and academic progress.

Jeremiah is also the international liaison to student-athlete academic services, working in conjunction with the Office of Global Engagement to help incoming international student-athletes get admitted to Utah State.

During his time at Utah State, teams that Jeremiah has monitored have met many academic achievements, including two Academic All-Americans, highest all-time semester GPAs in four varsity sports, and a top eight academic ranking in gymnastics for the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association.

A native of Lincoln, Neb., Jeremiah graduated from Nebraska in 2013 with a bachelor’s in psychology. He graduated from Omaha with a master’s degree in counseling with an emphasis in student affairs and higher education in 2015. While at Omaha, Jeremiah was an athletics academic intern, as well as an academic assistant, mentoring at-risk student-athletes.
