Corey Ansfield is in his first year as the Associate Athletics Director for Development at Utah State. Previously, Ansfield spent four years at USU as the Assistant Athletics Director and Executive Director of the Big Blue Scholarship Fund.
In his role, Ansfield is responsible for overseeing the department’s fundraising efforts, major gifts, coordination of donor activities and representation of the Athletics Department at University and community events to support the mission, vision and priorities of USU Athletics. He also works closely with various members of the advancement division, coaching staffs, athletic development staff and other appropriate campus and external groups.
Ansfield came back to Utah State after spending eight years at the University of Illinois as an Assistant Athletics Director for Development, leading the department’s annual fund and premium seating efforts. While at Illinois, he served in a leadership role on a development team that achieved five consecutive years of raising $40 million or more, and helped Fighting Illini Athletics surpass its $300 million goal as part of the university’s $2.25 billion With Illinois campaign.
Prior to Utah State, Ansfield spent one year as a development assistant in the Rebel Athletic Fund at UNLV, where he was responsible for increasing annual membership through priority seating and sport specific giving. He began his athletics career at Illinois State, where he was involved in ticket operations.
A native of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Ansfield graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Marian (Wis.) University in 2008, where he played baseball. He later received his master’s degree in sports management from Illinois State.
Ansfield is married to the former Kelsea Garthoff and the couple has one daughter, Reese.
