Jaden Johnson is in his second year as an Assistant Communications Coordinator at Utah State.
Johnson serves as the media contact for USU’s men’s basketball, soccer and softball programs, while assisting with a number of other sports. Johnson also assists with the athletic department’s various social media platforms and is involved in the statistical crews of numerous sports.
Johnson returned to Utah State after spending two years at Marquette, where he served as the Assistant Director of Communications. There, he was the primary communications contact for the nationally-ranked women’s basketball and women’s lacrosse programs, in addition to men’s soccer.
In addition to creating increased visibility for Marquette’s athletics programs, Johnson was an Assistant Media Coordinator for the 2022 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship in Milwaukee.
Prior to his time at Marquette, Johnson spent five years working in various roles at Utah State, including two years in the communications office working with women’s basketball, track & field and cross country. He also served as the radio play-by-play broadcaster for women’s basketball from 2017-21, and called various USU sports as a streaming broadcaster for Mountain West Network.
A native of Millville, Utah, Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations from Utah State University in August of 2019.
